Ok guys,im really disappointed with my 3GS' speaker during music playback, quality is crappy n cracky sound on anything above 60% volume.
Really appreciate if any of u could let me know if this is my unit's problem or it is happening across iphone3GS

when i wipe my phone, i notice tat the left side of my iphone screen (near the metalic chrome there) the left side ege near the corner down d way to half middle gone up abit compare to the right side edge. i tot it's d corner n normal.. when i slowly press it using my finger.. i feel the softness of the screen.. (wat i mean is when i press it, it go down a lil n when i let it off, the screen go up slightly a lil) it's normal or nt? i'm afraid after for a long time of usage.. my whole screen will be spoilt n d whole side will be lift up more...

may i kno is tis included in the warranty? cause it's a phone defect rite? i din drop the phone.. sigh.. kinda worry..

In any case, what you presented is a clear case of an accidental damage which naturally does not qualify for a warranty claim.

wat i mean is the side edge tat separate the screen n the metallic casing got a very narrow gap rite? suppose shuld be in line.. but my left side of my phone is not in line.. abit go up.. so when u try to touch the side edge of the screen u can actually feel the screen nt in line.. when i lightly press on the side.. the side edge actually can go down.. (like those kind of feel, when u press it thn d side edge go down n when u let go ur finger, it lift up again) hopefully u get wat i mean tho..

try oredi.. can't take a screen shot cz it's nt obvious.. need to haf a very close up shot.. unless i use macro lens.. as u kno normal cam is lack of close up.. if too close the image will blur out

Like I said earlier, send in for a warranty claim and present your case. Since you did not drop your phone or knock it against something, you have a good case.

im not sure how it happened, but i believe tht mayb i accidently drop my phone onto the ground with a non-secure casing, and now, my phone has appearing some stripes which is kinda annoying me, and maxis centre are not going to bare this problem, can anyone help me to solve this problem? cause my iphone is getting worse and worse thn everyday...

Erm guys. i wont be checking this page often but i really need to ask, i have almost 30 applications in my itunes and in my iphone 3gs 3.1.2. when i am in my itunes, i can see all the application on user's iphone mini screen on itunes. but in my iphone. theres none. i tried offing and on it back but no work. then i keep on sync but cannot, today just now only just happended. sorri for bad english coz i rushing.

guys.. i'm having problems downloading apps from iTunes.
It keep prompting me "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (2001).
Can someone pls guide me?

I found the cause of the problem. I did not have a login ID to iTunes. That's the reason for the error. After creating an Apple ID, downloading was OK.

Guys, I've downloaded the apps from itunes and installed to iphone through sync but can't open.. Why arr. When I opened it, i can see the apps main page flash a sec then gone.. How to solve this ? = =

Hi all, I got a question for my iPhone 2G

I spend like 5-7 hours to fully charge the battery and is that normal?

And I know changing batteries on the 2G is a nightmare, and me being the clumsy humpty dumpty, I can't change the batteries myself. Can I bring it to apple store one day to change the batteries? And how much would apple charge me?

I've solved the problem through restart the iphone. LOL. Do anyone knows to change the ringtone without using originnal one as it's jailbreaked.

Just bought this iphone (jailbreaked SG set) from my sister coz she bought new iphone 3gs (maxis), i do hard reset to clearup all her information after that the iphone restart and only show as picture below.. what is that mean?? is it my iphone brick?? I can do any thing.. cannot charge.. cannot sync.. Itunes not respone at all when i connect the usb cable.. I do borrow my friend cable to test it.. FYI i have done the restore & DFU step but nothing happen.. really sorry i'm very nobe with iphone coz only hold it not even 1 hour..

Question: even by purposely changing the APN to avoid being data charged, I still observed my data usage increasing, is that normal? or is it still being charged? I can't connect to 3G as it prompts me error in data connection. That is obviously cos I changed the APN settings.

you need to authorise your iTunes on your PC/MAC first.

once completed, sync the iPhone once

the iPhone itself.

anyway, try to follow this sequence.

1. unplug the USB cable from the iPhone

2. re-open iTunes again.

3. now hold the home button and do not release

4. plug in the USB cable to the iPhone dock (whilst still holding the home button)

5. wait for the characteristic iTunes buzz of an iPhone being connected

6. once a prompt appears, release the home button.

7. restore

i found tht when i go to keypad screen n lock/standby the phone then unlock the phone,the unlock sound is very very soft..is it normal?

i think i know what u're talking about..
basically the front screen shud be leveled with the rim of the phone..
somehow one corner of the screen got out a little bit.. when u swipe ur finger across the screen, u'll feel a sharp edge..

i had the same too.. but now no more.. i guess that was because i applied some "force" on that corner once in a while.. but not recommended though.. who knows if u've applied too much of force..
- cut the song u wanted to use as a ringtone to a desired length (around 28 or 30 seconds)
- convert the clip to .mp4 format
- renamed the converted clip to .m4r
- add the .m4r into ur iTunes library
- sync
- u'll see it under ur ringtone list..
sounds like a tethered jailbreak using blackra1n..
