i hav this little Qs..

my situation: Im planning to get my self a new 3gs, so Im letteng go my 3g..

My Q: 1) How do i transfer all the data from my old 3g to my new 3gs?

2) And can I still cont to use my old iTunes acc, or do i need to create new one for use with the 3gs?

3) How do i reset my old 3gs to factory setting - so that none of my data remain..i.e do i need to perform DFU mode??

my friend receive inews about new apps from 26000...how i want to receive the inews as well ?? is there any charge for sms received ?

i'm using maxis postpaid...

1) do a backup with itunes on ur old iphone. restore the new iphone with itunes using the latest backup
2) u still can cont to use ur itunes acc.
3) restore ur phone using itunes. when itunes ask to either restore from backup or set as new, u can eject the phone. if u still feel a little paranoid, goto settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings.

if u have mobileme account or longitude installed, u can track ur iphone location. if not, im sorry for ur loss.

that's more of a network issue, rather than the phone itself

If U haf MobileMe and have activated the "Find my iPhone" services, there's a possibility u be able to track down the rough location of ur iPhone, otherwise... nopes.

my phone from singtel set.. can singtel trace trough their service if my phone already on but using others simcard?

My Apple iPhone 16gb 3GS (from MAXIS) got crack ( or should say scratch) on the screen. Just at the top right of the screen beside the ear hole.
it doesnt affect function or visibility on the screen, but very anoyying la. it wasnt caused by me, coz the scratch or crack is beneath the outer glass. which means the glass has no scratch or crack or any defection. Somehow, the scratch is there beneath the outer screen.
Can claim warranty? coz this is not caused by human. Not possible right?

Possible to show us some pics? If it's heat crack then I guess you can claim the warranty no prob.

From what I know, if they cannot detect any sign that the iPhone had been dropped or knocked against before, there is every likelihood that you will be able to get a replacement.

maybe u just take back to maxis tell him/her the problem then ask for replacement.. if not due to human damage should be change a new want

nah, maxis would just turn u away and say that their warranty doesnt cover physical damages.

look at this 3Gs taken from my other thread.

My phone is currently 100% scratchless, even hairline scratches also dont have. it is like 100% brand new, perfect condition. well, except the crack inside the screen (glass).
My case strong? or they still will say i somehow droped it? ( dropped or whatever sure will leave sign right?)
