The price I got was awhile back, and I had to get the full set including PSB Image speakers, audioquest cables (very peasant level type). The total comes to around 5.6k.

Was in TBM, Bangsar yesterday, saw one last unit of RX-V663 on display, go and look for this person, Edward, and ask for discounts...

Hey guys..

So i just found out that my 663's power is 95w per channel at 8ohm.. my speakers are monitor audio br2 rated at 6ohm.. i didn't change the impedance on my 663 to 6ohm.. does this means that i'm under-powering my speakers running at 8ohm? is it still at 95w per channel if i set it to 6ohm?

one more question.. i read the manual online awhile ago and found out that i can bi-amp my speakers with the zone2/presence speakers.. will this give more improvements for my fronts/center?

max power output for 8 ohm would be less. should set to 6 ohm. if u listen to music a lot then biamp might improve ur music but for movies biamp will only reduce power to all ur speakers coz now it's running 7 channel instead of 5.

the manual nor website didn't state that it's 95w at 8ohm or something like that.. currently i'm only on 5.1, so i guess bi-amping is still ok as the 663 is rated at 95w x 7 channels.. that's why i'm still wondering if bi-amping will make any difference or not.. if i could, i'll bi-amp my center for more movie dialog oomph.. i don't listen to music on my HT.. it's strictly for movies.. if i want music, i can listen to them in my car laugh.gif

quite interested in the V365. noted that there's HDMi in/out. just wonder if i connect my dvd player to it using components and media player using HDMI, can i have only 1 cable out from the receiver to my tv using HDMI? meaning that can the receiver divert my component input signal from my dvd player to HDMI out to tv?

thanks

you're basically explaining the purpose of a receiver wink.gif and oh.. with a coax or toslink cable from your dvd player together with the component, you can get dolby digital/dts from your dvd player too!

thanks for the confirmation. i have that idea too but not very sure whether this model can do it or not as it's an entry level model and no hdmi upscaling. so just worried that the hdmi out is for all the hdmi in only.

any idea on the market price? today saw the desa advert, rm1499 including the v365 and 5 pioneer speakers s-ms700. worth it?

you should download the RX-V365 manual and read it...see the options of HDMI upconversion.
