guys.. how do u disable sms sent notification? i mean all of them instead of disabling it when yr about to send one message out =.= wat i want is permanently...

er people, my x1i running on R3AA010, but my garmin doesn seems to show the map even after i put in the map file in the garmin folder. How come?

The maps should be placed in original Garmin folder.
There's no map folder.

Which version of Garmin are you using anyway?

hi, wanna ask...between x1 and satio....which 1 runs smoother?

yr talking one with WinMO and one with symbian....

to me.. symbian is a lighter platform for me... S60v5.. though there're pretty much apps nw to support it.. but still.. am gonna support winmo.. much better things to play with.. such as custom ROM whereby s60v5 only apps.. firmware is dead.. cannot tweak so much...

BTW, u could find a cab file for it if u not familiar with registry. but i think u r a pro for winmo too..



can u post the name of ur map file? i had gmapsupp.img under /storage card/garmin. it will works. u can open garmin, tools, my data (i think), map set. u can check whether garmin detect ur map file. or else, u nid to check ur map data.

LYN prohibit Warez which include PM. they do check it. beware.

i personally recomment satio to ppl. caz x1 is too much hassle and ppl tend not to take challenge as human nature.
so, satio have a better interaction between human n itself. while, winmo, challenging ppl to exploit it and get more use of it for everyday. i roughly count that.. every 3 months, we got new stuff to play with. the new stuff i mean is

successfully ported tf3d to x1.
exploit landscape on it
got few custom tab able to run on tf3d
got leo rom
got documents tab
got new landscape on tf3d

this is juz rough new idea, but there is tons of it came n coming.

while satio? pls take it out often and show ppl ur 12MP camera but it does nothing. big in size, high in noise as well. anything else, wait symbian to further release firmware for u. which 5800xm i updated the firmware 5 times. but nothing improvement but bug fixed and still looks exactly the same.

Added on December 28, 2009, 8:43 amoh yes, probably i skipped ur question. i run my x1 on heavily modded rom by valkyrie. i feel it run smoother and of caz more features than satio do.

satio is more simplify and probably easier to use perhaps. but due to that 12mp, ppl would juz dump x1 away and get satio.

satio 2nd batch coming n i dun noe whether it runs better. in future symbian will definitely release firmware that is more stable n faster. in such time race, satio would be winner (smoother) compare to x1 due to light platform of symbian compare to winmo.

so, spec wise.. satio win. daily practicality, definitely winmo. daily use, recommend satio bcaz satio could make ppl 'WOW' but x1 do not.

Seriously daily usage of satio can make ppl go wow? If for me, maybe for the first 2 weeks, after a while I'll get bored of a phone which I can't customize to my own liking, not forgetting lack of new updates like what custom roms for winmo devices.

no no.. u misunderstand me.

i mean 'WOW' bcaz satio is the latest range of SE premium phone ma. like last time xperia do. xperia is the most expensive phone SE produced b4 with a price tag of RM3299. so, if those normal SE user saw x1 last year november, do u think they will 'WOW'? they will surely do bcaz u holding a RM3299 phone.

satio with a price tag of rm2400 now, i will oso 'WOW' wat. u r holding satio!! the latest phone of SE!! LOL

but then, not practical for me. satio is not as smooth as expected. laggy everywhere on the last time i used. and user report touch screen problem, battery problem and a few to mention. i hope they do fix it for next batch. in US it was so serious until those hypermarket cleared all their satio and return to SE until they produce a better batch.

anyway, Satio luckily run on symbian. or else, i doubt anyone will buy it. normal SE juz cant load Garmin inside and phone with a GPS-chipset but without software to utilise. how clever...

so far, i dun find satio is interesting. instead, even a X1 is much better than it, i feel.

bt... it is using up my memory up to 56% ...

one f my fren said its kind f high.... is it true??? i didnt install any other apps other than my garmin... tats teh only ting i hv installed... can sum1 gv me the link where i can gt a good rom which use less memory... huhuhuh.....

56% is f low for me. most of the time im using it at 90%. so? even though it is using at 90%, i dun feel any laggyness or any kind of slowness. wat do u think 56% indicate of?

it juz showing u how much u r been using. so, 90% doesnt mean it would be slow or congest or watever. it jz a simple indication of how much ram u been using only. like windows7 now, i got 6gb ram. and it constantly using 60-70% of it now. i feel it is even faster than it only uses 20%. why? bcaz ram speed is faster than hdd speed. and once all program loaded into ram, it loads and runs much faster than it was at other place.

n u din describe wat rom, wat wm6.5 are u using at all. we couldnt hardly say anything as well. oh yes, are u running tf3d or normal winmo interface? if only titanium mayb u can complain it is a bit on high side.

hmm.. actualy i try hard spl myself once n it stuck in the tri color screen saying tat couldn't finds any image.... so is end to shop.. they did for me..... as i checked my storage card it shows the same name of nbh file (ruu_signed (513k))

hmm, alright. so bad it is to let shop do it for u. u nid to boot into winmo to let the hard-spl success. load hard-spl on windows while winmo connected via activesync. then it will prompt u for enterbootloader.exe on winmo. once yes, it will hard-spl ur xperia. but i think, now u r already hard-spl it.

then we can know that the shop is quite stupid somehow. probably flash a bad rom for u already. u could try to reflash it again to valkyrie or touch-it rom. touch-it tease us (at least me) with full landscape LEO rom. im waiting for it.

ruu_signed.nbh is not the correct name for it. rename it to kovsimg.nbh. then boot into bootloader and flash ur xperia.

TF3d? argh, i oso forget they changed name to HTC Sense Ui. lol.
