Hey rkwan67 you are going for a warranty , can you please help me to ask them how much will it cost if i replace a new keyboard .

erm, im not directly going to the service centre probably.. i will try to ask those shop around to see whether can help me send warranty o not.. if not i will go myself.. i will ask them to quote me if possible..

X1 sifu! How is the touch pro compared to the x1? Big difference? Sigh i was so excited to get the x1 but now this problems are gonna be a big hindrance

yes...cannot slide out at all, even winmo will going "crazy" if i slide out keyboard
the screen will goes blank if i slide out keyboard

It's not WinMo problem. When you slide out the keyboard, the ribbon will short the connection to your LCD. That's why no display. Try to type a few words, and go back portrait?

when it comes to blank screen, if i slide-in back the keyboard, screen still not light up. i need to turn the on/off button twice to make it light up back. or else sometimes no success, i need to put out battery and back put in

used almost 4 month..... lol....so far my keyboard not really give me a big matter la.....since i less using keyboard to sms.....using the FINGER KEYBOARD is very fun .....hope it won't have any problem on my x1......since the market stil don't have any more better phone in my mind >.<.....

my keyboard so far didnt make any problem for me yet, still using it. but prefer finger keyboard coz easier to type, no need keep slide the screen up and down.

Keep sliding makes the ribbon get loose easily like wat happened to mine.

Actually I don't mind the cracks, as they are minor and barely noticeable.

But the keyboard problem really kills off the X1's feasibility and productivity.

Cracks are just tiny little matters, doesn't bother me much eventhough SE dont wanna replace another housing for me.

BTW, you also face cracks at the stylus area?

No problem .

I'm downloading NRG's rom which max manila cooked in, after using agent's rom for so long, it's time to give it a chance.

Actually I was facing the same dilemma with you a few months back, I checked up on the net and there was many unsatisfied X1 users, either keyboard got problem or it's crack. So far, I don't have any cracking problem but there is some slight problem with my keyboard (spacebar key) I think it was due to my own fault as I accidentally split tea onto my scrubs and my phone was in my pocket.

At the end of the day to me the X1 is a great phone but of course to avoid crackings you've to be careful when using it. Just my 2 cents.

X1 cracking problems depends on the batch i think.. not all X1 cracks..

Mine still haven't crack . Still in good condition.

I tried the energy manila rom cooked in with max manila mod build 28014 yesterday night, looks pretty okay to me, with 4 row icon arrangement now. But after a while I decided to switch back to agent's rom. Kind of used to all the softwares he cooked into his rom, NRG doesn't cook in nitrogen and some other softwares which I use daily.
