Ahh..sorry i cant help u on that coz for contact i use Google contact service. All my contacts will be dloaded n sync automatically when i connect to the internet.

Hurm..maybe u can try changing the contact type (either Google, Phone or Sim) when u save ur contact and see whether it is on ur contact list or not..

If still cant...i dunno lo..maybe its time to use other ROM

Pls call me idiot......hahaha i figure out why i cant search for my contact....lol........Actually when adding new contact there got an option for u to choice save contact type. (which mean save contact type in google, phone or sim card). I didnt notice this option. >.<

Got my HERO 2 days now, still figuring out all the stuffs. One thing i tried and it didn't work is the flash player. i tried loading it on the browser and then it says "this content cannot play in this device". Any idea if i need to install the plugin?

Refering to the manual here page 166, is it certain country the Hero come with Market by default??

There are some flashes that it can play and some that cannot. It's not a full featured flash, it more akin to flash lite. So some flashes especially like those of embeded radio players might not be able to play. Flash ads are mostly fine =(

Yes, hero comes in different versions/packages for different regions/countries.

Didn't work for me too. Maybe when flash 10 available for android, we be able to view more complex flash site. Right now only some lite flash site work...but miniclip can load ok tho..played Canyon Defense with no problem although its a bit slow

it doesnt, its integrated in google map.. when ur using street view..
best compass program i found was marine compass.. its full 3D

i got tips for white HTC HERO owner..
i already been using near 1 week
i notice that there's a few blotches of very stubborn stain on the taflon cover
no matter how hard i try to rub it off with water, soap etc.. its not coming out completely..
still noticable mark on the taflon..
until i start using alcohol to rub it... to my surprise now it looks like new out-of-the-box clean..
and u just need to gently rub it off.. 100% clean..
super! now im loving the taflon even more.

if the street view unavailable mean no compass...

I found out Sygic's Malaysian map is outdated. The app also not user-friendly. Nice UI compared to Garmin but still I feel sad spent some monies for the license :-(

Hey guys, i just got the hero haha. Bought from digital mall. For rm 2150. So now i need to get a case protector and screen protector both said not available in digital mall. Levi which one were you planning to get?

Ahh the casing and screen protector. I'm still using food wrapper for the time being.

Tomorrow after office I'm going to LYP to apply Capdase Anti-Fingerprint screen protector. Should be available tomorrow from Cycom Apple (I asked them to source it last two weeks)

Casing is a black FlexiShield. Bought from ebay and the ETA is anyday next week.

I bought two apps already :-) EasyMoney and Sygic Mobile Map.

We should join and try Waze though. Open and free, turn GPS.
