Just flash the .zip file as you flash a ROM .zip.

I saw this trick at MoDaCo: http://is.gd/7cypd and I think it's good to share and to archive it here.

Read more about this Android internal taskkiller at xda-developers: http://is.gd/7cyu4

If you are using the latest MCR which is 3.2 Beta 5, this guide is pretty much a copy-paste kind.

0. Connect your Hero to PC.

1. Pull teknologist.sh from /system/init.d/ to your drive C.

CODE
adb remount
adb pull /system/init.d/teknologist.sh C:\

2. Open the teknologist.sh with a text editor.
Note: This is better done with WordPad instead of Notepad.

3. Make a new line, and paste this code. Save.

CODE
echo "1536,3072,4096,21000,23000,25000" > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree

4. Push teknologist.sh back to /system/init.d/

CODE
adb remount
adb push C:\teknologist.sh /system/init.d/

5. Reboot.

CODE
adb remount
adb shell reboot

That's almost RM800 cheaper than the price us earlier adopters paid for it :-)

I did some shopping today, and bought myself SlideScreen Pro, Battery Indicator Pro and MySettings. So far so good.

Where did you download the MCR?

I'm using MCR up till 3.2b5, all have Sense.

You should know what do you want, or maybe your need. Checkout negative comments from Internet, and work it out from there.

From your post, you said you are planning to get a Hero. My suggestion is to read those negative comments. Then you know where to set the bar :-)

Unless you already decided to buy Hero, then by all means get the thing.

You can send text to multiple recipients by tapping the recipient box once after another. For example after you add SIS, tap the box again to add Hun, and then tap again to Jerry.
