Finally!! i have rooted my hero.. i use same ROM as moyl_finuda which is 2.73.. dont dare to take risk to flash for 3.0. because it is too new to me, afraid it will be total loss to me after upgrade..

1 more question, any one has any idea on backup sms from phone to sim??

congrats, congrats ...as for the sms, i found quite a number of apps to do that in market, but i personally nvr try any of that, mayb i'm jst lazy to try such apps, coz dun really need it

i'm waiting to see whether official 2.1 htc malaysia rom got market or not, if dun have, i'm waiting for modaco's rom which based on 2.1 ...or anybody know it paul already release such rom?

official 2.1 is announced will be released end of march...

Just bought a sony ericsson stereo bluetooth headphone...successfully paired with my Hero.. the problem is

I was using Meridian Player to listen the song & no problem...but when i pressing the " play" , "forward" or "backtrack" remote key on earphone.. The HERO auto trigger ON the Hero stock Music applications...and play ALL the audio files on SDcard at the same time....song(meridian player) & system audio files ( stock music player)

I got my PaPaGo installed..so its will playing all the "direction" file...ie..turn left..turn right... WTF...

Tried removed the stock music applications.. and problem solved...but the remote key on earphone malfunctioning at all...


1.I guess its(remote key) only work with stock application?
2.Or the Meridian Player problem?
3. Anyone know how to filter the audio files on SDcard?

try downloading other music players and see how...
mixzing lite or tunewiki..if your headphone is fully functional with any of these players then maybe meridian player is not fully compatible with your headphone..

i saw paul written this patch zip for MCR 3.1 / 3.2. Apply over the top of your existing build. So i need to flash the mcr 3.1 then only can apply this patch??

I need help from your all again. I have applied the patch at mcr 3.1, i saw the "touch input chinese" at locale @& text setting. but it give me this error msg "the application touch input chinese (process com.htc.adnroid.cime) has stopped unexpectedly"

any idea???

If you are using the latest MCR which is 3.2 Beta 5, this guide is pretty much a copy-paste kind.

0. Connect your Hero to PC.

1. Pull teknologist.sh from /system/init.d/ to your drive C.



2. Open the teknologist.sh with a text editor.
Note: This is better done with WordPad instead of Notepad.

3. Make a new line, and paste this code. Save.





4. Push teknologist.sh back to /system/init.d/



5. Reboot.

hmm.. if currently using 2 gb, what we need to do when we change sd card? copy all file from old to new???

Tried & remains same..it's ok.. luckily Meridian shared playlist with stock application..lazy to create again... LOL

I guess the key only respond to stock software...

anyway..SE MH100 stereo bluetooth earphone (came with AINO) make hero audio quality much much better than HTC ori earphone...sux
