Added on January 8, 2010, 7:57 amyep... imagine... u can dl LEGAL songs for free~ and it's really unlimited... so far dling songs is kinda fun... but be warn~ it's wma ( but the files are big due to high quality ) ^^ it's really high quality to me...

been listening to hours of music and using it for other purpose (eg whatever going around the phone, requires LCD to be lit) and it just dropped a bar or 2.

i put the brightness to 50% and it's still beats my 5800's brightness of 60% hands down...^^

I think the next move might be an AMOLED touchscreen. I can't wait itf that model comes out, maybe I should wait.

The Nokia product manager said "We want you to be able to enjoy the best out of your music so we put in a good one"

But the battery is the 1320mAh BL-5J battery so I think the lifespan could be same as 5800. I'll be doing some testing for next coming days hopefully this weekend I can post a complete review.

A capacitive screen does require slightly more power than resistive(see how it works). But then again, you require less brightness(if you actually take that advantage and use less brightness).

I think the phone will have a few hours less than the 5800 with practical use.

well... i played wifi for 4hours straight doing dling and surfing... and so far only dropped 2 bars of battery...

for now, no casing for X6 rite? like those ppl like to use for 5800 lol...

got... u mean red oil-rubberized case? ^^ i'm ordering them as well...there's silicon case on the market already... ( all available at ebay )

I'm gonna stick to phone pouch because whatever silicon / resin / rubberized cover actually scratched my 5800 from the inside (due to grinding against dust in between the phone and the cover).


A point to note, just like the iPhone, the X6's screen is made out of a scratch resistant glass. However no way am I taking my chances, I'm gonna go buy one screen protector the next chance I get. I just hope it doesnt screw up with the capacitive screen. Cos capacitive means to use the electric conduction between your fingers and the internal screen...

Oh since we're on the topic, wanna let you guys know the screen is very responsive. Just a light touch will already be detected but there are a few drawbacks.

1) Cannot use stylus (except those specific capacitive type) or finger nails
2) Since I cannot use finger nails, quite hard for me to sms. Cos my fingers are not that nimble.

And since we're talking abt sms, I dunno if u guys face this problem.. the place where they display ur text while typing, the font is so HUGE that it makes it hard to see the 'whole' sms if u get what i mean.

oh yes! i was annoyed by that too... then i tried scrolling up but it highlights sooo fast that it went to the top straight -.-

n i think the battery life is short... prolly because i'm too used to my previous nokia e71, and have not used 5800 before... this X6, full charged in the morning, in the evening battery low adi...

Today I went to hunt for screen protector + pouch.

1) Screen Protector - The dude said "errk... too new la.. dun have"
2) Pouch - The girl said "oh the new X6?...... erm... is it even out yet? we dont have a pouch specifically for that"




I like to see their faces where they look like "where the f--- did you get that?". Was so tempted to bring it to the Nokia Centre to ask if I can change my housing.. lol damn i am mean
