Wow.
I'm gonna try an X series next. biggrin.gif
Was going to try something other than Nokia but this X-series looks........fun. tongue.gif

The interface looks fairly smoother with less lag, especially when considering that it has the theme effects on.

Maybe if I get a job back I'll try an X series.
By then, either the X series is dropped, or a new X series comes out. biggrin.gif

Iphone uses projected capacitance screen. It uses changes in electrostatic charges in a grid or whatever. Look it up, I forgot.

Oh yeah, it enables the screen to be operated without direct contact.

i didnt know that. i tot it was expensive because it has the capacitive technology.
music can download for free what, what for charge so expensive smile.gif

They have to follow certain ethics. Surely Nokia doesn't do it like most of us and get all those songs for free on the internet. For quality and legality the source of those music would be superior I would think. Maybe lossless digital copies from producers, original CDs and vinyls? I dunno how these things work actually but you get the picture..... tongue.gif

din really bother to try. i got bout 70-80 GB of songs inside my pc, why bother 1000 songs == 5-6GB ?
*
I bet those songs wont reach 5 GB because of their quality.
But it would be useful in exploring and discovering new singers/bands that we've never heard before. With comes with music we might, not with the 1000 free songs that came with our region of Nokia products.

Yeah if you look it up you can download and store the music via PC so you can probably copy it to another device other than Nokia's.

That I agree, they should sell one w/o the service for a lesser price. I mean, some of us don't want it and would not want to pay extra for a service we don't use.

you should try out iPhone or iPod touch from any of your friends and will notice the difference.

Yeah, it was good. It was literally just "touch".

do u all think that x6 is too expensive?it should below 2k.since those spec is not that good
*
I think it's rather well priced.
Let's compare it to a closest relative to it, in terms of price and spec, the N97.

N97 has the same amount of on-board storage, however plus the memory slot.
The X6 has a slightly faster processor.
The N97 uses a plastic resistive touch screen. Slightly cheaper but not as responsive or accurate. X6 uses the more expensive glass-topped, scratch resistant capacitive screen, very expensive.
We duuno how other hardware performs, such as the speakers, how the DAP will perform.
It seems that the phone operates smoothly as well, even for a test unit. Dunno of Nokia will improve on that or make it the way it is.

We'll just have to wait and see how it performs. I'm not saying I'm with them all the way with the price, it is rather a lot, but let's just see what happens when it comes out.

I might trade in my 5800 for one of these. biggrin.gif

Around 2.3k, less maybe.
For some minor spec upgrade over the 5800, i think the other hardware made it more expensive. More like a revised N97 this one.

Capacitive.
The advantage that the Samsung has is it's camera, 8 MP and HD recording. Other than that.

The thing about N series is, people say that every one of them has a hissing sound, even the N91, the king of all Nokias when it comes to sound(headphone/earphone). The noise seems to be worst in N series compared to other Nokias

Of course, audiophiles who test them use super sensitive earphone, such as an SE530.

Well if the X6 had that kinda processor, it would be an overkill.
Let's just see who utilizes their hardware the best.

Yeah, I too favor the Samsung.
I dunno, I'm kinda confused with Nokia's lineup these days.

They seem to be trying so hard. Some attempts were great, but others, I dunno.
They came out with the best bang for the buck phone at first(5800), then came out with an overpriced smart phone the next(N97), then a phone that is confused between an entry and a smart phone(5230), then a proper entry level phone yet it's software beats out its big brother the 5800(5530).

Have to wait for this one though, see if the price justifies its lack of innovative hardware.

nokia is unlike iphone. Iphone just only 1 product can kill the market. No need so much r&d and design like nokia.
Well nokia, every 1q, 2q, 3q, 4q of the year definitely got new model roll out.
*
Then again, if Iphone were to have such an R&D, their first gen would already have 3G, video recording, MMS, full Bluetooth connectivity, better camera, replaceable batteries, and memory card slot.

Nokia intend on having something for everyone, not just for people who can afford everything.

So far the 5800 is pretty good after a few FW updates. Even with mediocre hardware it's still not the laggiest phone i've tested. In fact it was pretty usable.

I still believe it's the Comes With music that jacks up the price.
A 16GB version is available though at a fairly cheaper price, so should be a relief for most of us, albeit no memory card support I believe.

Hi want to know if after long use , will the white X6 turns yellowish ?
*
hard to tell since we don;t know what kind of plastic its made of.
However as a very rough rule, expose anything to direct UV rays(sunlight) will degrade anything. Wnat to preserve your phone's casing, keep it away from the sun whenever possible.

Agreed but then who would want to exposed it for a long period?

Dunno, probably accidentally left it next to a window while charging? tongue.gif
If it's priced nicely within 1.6-2k, I'll get one instead of a BL40 or a 5530.
