Cook it, hard boiled. I like it hard. 2 yolks at night before bed.

Cold drinks don't affect stamina or digestion and all that shit. Don't believe anything bro.
Yeah, cheap. I sometimes hit up to 40 eggs a day if i'm too lazy to go out and buy steak or salmon.

So I visited Terry Gallyot today. It was nice, we caught up, chatted, discussed training, tuned up my training, supplement timing, etc had post workout meal with him. Awesome guy, i feel a lil stronger everytime i train there. Lol, must be his aura or something.

Eggs are awesome. thumbup.gif

Ah, so it's basically an 'it's all in your head' thing? Looks like I won't be talking him out of believing that anytime soon. laugh.gif

Damn, I had sprinting training for 4 hours yesterday and it tore me apart. My obliques, hams and calves hurt so much today. Only had enough in me for 5 sets of squats before I gave up on legs and moved on to shoulders. sweat.gif

Nope, athletics training for the 100/200m sprint events.

Not a good idea to weight train lower body on the day after sprints. Both are too CNS intensive. You could get away with sprinting in the morning and weight training in the evening, but not the other way around.

Since I highly doubt you can sprint in the morning and weight train in the evening, you're better off modifying your program to have 2 leg days, where one 'leg day' will be replaced by sprinting instead. Kind of like how Joe Defranco's earlier WS4SB version.

This of course assumes that you're training to be an athlete. If aesthetics if your goals then someone else could give you better ideas.
*
Yeah, definitely not a good idea. I was trying to see if I could get away with it. Obviously not. laugh.gif

I will have to mix around my training schedule, at least for the time being or until my competitions are over. I'll probably have my sprinting day on a Monday and my actual leg day on a Thursday or Friday.

I mentioned in my post that it was intended towards athletic training, which was why I said 'If aesthetics if your goals then someone else could give you better ideas'.

I know this is the BB thread, which is why I'm not gonna elaborate unless you want me to, don't wanna go off topic

Btw, I don't play with the weights, I fight to lift them.
I'm not sure how serious this sprinting thing is for you. If you are serious about it, you might want to check out the works of Charlie Francis. Basically what he does is:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday - Sprints/Pylos in the morning, squats/powerclean/bench in the evening. I'm not saying those are the only exercises his athletes do.

Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday - Tempo runs

Again, sorry for going off topic, this is the BB thread after all.
*
I'll check him out, thanks.

The problem with cookie cutters is, you're pressured to hit a target poundage. What if you're feeling a lil' under the weather on that day? It'll demoralize the trainee if they can't hit the target. It might predispose them to injuries. It might foster the concept that only poundage is conducive to growth, to the point where they get so obsessed with it, that's all they're aiming for. I got into the trap too. I got injured.

I stuck with instinctive training, before long I'm hitting poundages which even Terry said is considered heavy, and i didn't even set any poundage target.
*
I got caught in that trap too. unsure.gif

Heh.... Everyone does. I had it worse. Left lat tear from its insertion point, rotator cuff injury and an operation for 2 discs in my back. But that was long back. Now a lot wiser.
*
Jesus.

In a way I'm thankful I got injured earlier on. Served as a wake up call for me. Even so, my injury hasn't fully healed yet and it's a real b-tch. =/

What injury? I was away from forums for a while so I might have missed it.
*
Uh, I pulled/strained something in my lower back. Went to an orthopedic surgeon to make sure I hadn't slipped a disc or anything, and thankfully I hadn't. But because of this, arching or bending my back to a certain degree causes me quite a bit of pain and stuff that involves lots of twisting/turning or 'explosive' movements like football or sprinting makes it hurt a lot later in the day, or the next day.

I had that lower back injury? Geez... when i sneezed i would collapse on the ground from the pain. Same thing when i coughed. That bad.

So i brought my girl to see Terry yesterday at his gym. Lol... showed her his newspaper clips and bb trophies he put at his gym. Do you know whenever i train there, i feel a lot stronger. It's something about that place, you just know that a lot of pro bodybuilders have touched those dumbells, it's weird but i feel like some of that strength is in the feel of the weights. So much history there. First time i went there i was literally in awe of that place, it impressed me a lot more than commercial gyms ever would.
*
On bad days, I'd be on the floor after sneezing as well. doh.gif

I'd love to visit thay gym sometime. Heh. thumbup.gif

Once I manage to get my license, I'll try and find my way there for a visit. biggrin.gif

I'd be interested in finding out how many people actually use good form during their lifts (regardless of where you stand on the hi/low reps/weight/etc.).

I TRY to.

I find it real funny how the only people who criticize your physique are the people who don't HAVE a physique. Like at school today, 2 guys were saying my arms weren't in good shape and I have to cut more because to them, apparently I'm fat. Hilarious thing is, they both had twig arms and bellies on them.

Hey guys, do gyms generally allow the usage of chalk? I lost my training gloves, thinking of using chalk instead.

Depends on the gym's policies.

Where do you train? How come all these tales of PTs never happen to me? Actually to tell you the truth, I hate the average PT because they don't know jackshit. I've been waiting for something like that to happen to me so i can screw one of them up but they leave me alone. Seriously 80% of them don't even look decently in shape and have no business training people much less commenting on you like that.
Say... that's a good idea.
*
They're all scared shitless of you, that's why. biggrin.gif

I'm not mega huge but I do know I put on a nasty unapproachable look when I lift, even to women. Me thinks gym is the place to build muscles, not socializing.

Meeting Jon91 at MidValley later for arms session.
*
My thoughts exactly. I hardly ever talk when I get into the gym. (Except to myself, that is. )

Oh... kk. Lol. When a particular set gets painful during the last few reps I'd be saying stuff like f*ck you motherf*cker.

For me it's usually with squats. Heh.
