Saw 1 ebay seller at SG selling ManUtd kit with printing only @ S$79, but he only got size M & XL. I msg him ask for other size, he replied me this.
Dear ic3rock,

Hi, Nike do not produce all sizes in same factory. In order to prevent imitations, they will assige different factory to produce their jerseys. If i have all sizes means i get it from imitations factory. Thanks

There was a story about that away kit...

It was the first time Nike Indonesia made those kits.. And initially there were 'rejected stocks' because they didn't pass the QC level set by Nike.

So these jerseys were everywhere at Bandung's FO stores there...

To say about it's authenticity.. it's a bit tricky... but it's not a good quality product.

You can try look for these 2 products:

1. Stain Devil:

2. Dylon's Stain Remover (for Dry Clean Fabrics). Priced at RM11.60, available at Cold Storage and Ace Hardware Stores:

every taiko,,why kitbag's england 08/10 away shirt selling so cheap??is it fake?

Easy, because the jersey is at end of cycle.... Besides England didn't qualify for Euro 08 so the jersey tak laku.

It is 100% authentic and not fake. Kitbag fake? You got to be kidding me..... they are the supplier for Man United's Online Megastore and other online stores such as Celtic FC, Aston Villa FC, England Fa and UEFA....

Just wondering and wanna ask that what the different of flock material and LEXTRA for NNs??  icon_question.gif

There is ebay seller who selling the NNs with flock material, but the Wiggy sports also get selling this flock's NNs for 07/08 third UCL kit...  hmm.gif
*
Flock is a term to describe the velvet kind material of namesets.. Another easy way to imagine how flock looks like is, you go and look for old Arsenal nike jerseys with O2 sponsors. The O2 sponsor is made out of flock.

Lextra you should know right.. Now it's called Senscilia.

Can anybody verify if there is such thing as the Man Utd 06/08 Limited Edition jersey? Thanks.
*
This is just a plain authentic jersey added with a DIY embroidery. Not done by Nike or Man United. It is purely DIY embroidery, just to make it look unique.

regarding the flock question: does that mean Newcastle's Northern Rock sponsors are flock?
*
Hard to tell because I don't have the jersey. Wait until next week then I can answer it because I bought one and it will arrive next week.

I think it's lextra.

Italy's puma jersey (the euro 2008) has it's club crest made by lextra.

Don't have to be too concern about the term. It is just a term. Difference is, is that lextra is more thicker.

thanks guys for your help..really appreciated that.. thumbup.gif
*
No problem.

Next time, rajin-rajin la sikit... always wash your jersey using hands only and then later iron them.... If you always iron the patches... the bond of the glue will be stronger. Another fortunate thing that the bond was not so good.. maybe that made your attempt easier to remove.......

At least we have nice photos to share later in the jerseyman guide.... I can borrow right your photos here?

Credits should also be given to aw13 because he brought the idea up earlier at my-fjc.

Anyway I just realized.. you are lucky also because the UCL starball has minimal surface of glue.. because the design of the patch (3D design), there is a round shaped woven material and the glue surface is very thin and is around the outline only (the border of the patch).....

So it is easy to remove because the surface of the bottom of the patch is not fully glued... only minimal area around the outline of the patch has the glue.

Nasib baik!

Yes, I'm the one in the avatar... I'm tall got broad shoulder & long arms although i'm skinny... that's why i prefer XL for nike jerseys for past few seasons... for the umbro or earlier nike, size L would be fine... I just wonder about the size of 06-07 away jersey because the home one design is quite body fit and XL is just ngam ngam... So, I just want to know whether the away XXL is not too big because can't find XL till now...
*
It is big. I advice that you go for XL or L.

You can try look for this jersey at ebay..... Sometimes it appears so try look for it there first.

nimrod2 as per discussed before the weight is taken into consideration as well. At times if you're lucky you won't be taxed. I recalled on of the forumer escape tax although in his shipment has more than 3 kits before.

You can referred to the picture.

OK, if you read my previous guide on how custom taxes us.. they have their own currency rate that I believe is not accurate and is slightly higher that the current one.

Don't ask me why.

Take a look at my previous guide:

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=26145716

You can see that customs have their own currency rate and it is not accurate.

So I believe that qspn's purchase could have been flagged becaues it was slightly above RM500 (although the currency exchange rate shows it was below)..

Also with 3 jerseys, the weight might also caught the custom's eyes as well.....

I hope this thread doesn't become a thread discussing on how to avoid tax...... please remember this is a thread about football jerseys....

Guys......

First and foremost... please try to stick to jersey discussion in this forum. To post 1-2 off topic posts to highlight that you have some jerseys to sell, for me I think is OK because this is a football jersey talk thread that talks about general information about jerseys..

But sometimes it does become too boring when some topics such as about how to avoid tax, WTS, kitbag etc etc is being talked over again and again.. that becomes slightly off topic at times. We just had a heated argument last time about this 'offside zone' seller..... It reached to a point that this thread is becoming like a 'how to avoid tax' thread.... not good.

I can't categorize what to talk about since this is the weakness of this thread, unlike having a forum.. that lead me to create our own forum for jersey collectors (JCs). So I can't control what to talk about here.

If you want to promote the jerseys you are selling.. you can just post a small remark and that's it.. Don't have to question the contribution or what.. I know it's a bit (not a bit.. a lot) annoying to jersey collectors to see people who call themselves jersey collectors but are actually more into selling jerseys. I won't name any names here but you know who you are... anyway, so let's make this thread balanced and ensure that everything is under order.

Thank you.

QUOTE(chcher @ Sep 17 2009, 11:54 AM)
domokun, that is the ultimate holy grail for most smile.gif I am assuming you are referring to Liverpool's BOH 5

if u buy the kits from the liverpool online store, it will be printed, for a charge, if you request.

There are some ebayers (not alot though) selling them for inflated prices of RM180 - 300 per pair. That shows how rare it is.

So best is to buy the current kits from the online store, and if u r really looking to complete that old kit with the patch, no choice but forking out the high charge for them. Or alternatively source for shirts sold with them instead of buying separately.

Take note, this BOH 5 for liverpool is in a darker shade of blue and not the navy blue like BOH for some other clubs - for obvious reasons as navy blue is the colour of our cross town rival tongue.gif so don apply it wrongly haha

Added on September 17, 2009, 11:55 amthe other BOH 5 in navy blue is meant for old Milan kit so dont get the wrong one
*
Steven chcher gerrard, I think it should be royal blue, not navy blue.. Normally navy blue is for dark blue and Everton is normally associated with royal blue..

Good info btw..

Cheers!
*
Mate... please use the term JC appropriately.. In this forum, we use the term JC for Jersey Collector & JCs for Jersey Collectors.

No shop sells the BOH patch individually... best and easiest way to get it is to order from LFC online store.

If you ask me about the jersey in THAT photo, it is authentic.

That is the correct embroidery of the club crest.

But the question is, is THAT the SAME jersey the seller is selling? It could be a photo taken from another website that is selling a genuine jersey.

So to answer your question, YES the jersey in THAT photo is authentic.

But you have another question to ask, is that the SAME jersey being sold (actual photo of the jersey being sold) or a photo taken from somewhere else.

Compare the photo shown with the one taken from jerseyman's review back then when it was launched:

user posted image

Somehow I've seen the photo shown by fookie, somewhere before at another website......

I know some might question the positioning of the nike swoosh and club crest, it's too near squeezed and aligned with the AIG logo...

But back then, when there was a sneek peak photo of the jersey being advertised, the same positioning applies:

user posted image

But then, the jersey that I purchased, it has a further gaped nike swoosh and club crest:

user posted image

This is not enough to say the jersey is faked (based on the gap width between the nike swoosh and club crest). Based on the quality of the club crest embroidery, it looks legit. because the AAA fake has a funny looking red devil embroidered in the club crest. It looks fat like a cockroach (hahaha... seriously speaking)

Mate, don't use the term replica for fake jerseys.

There are 2 types of AUTHENTIC jerseys.. one is called replica jerseys, meant to be sold for fans and can be bought at stores. Another is called player issue.. player issue jersey have different features compared to the replica jerseys sold at authentic stores and are the actual ones worn by the players on the football pitch.
