i bought the phone magazine today ,it notes N900 ORI RM2,599 AP RM2,100 !!

I'm also very interested in this gadget. Might get 1 to replace my existing Omnia II. My only concern now is there are temporary no full-established GPS guidance software such as GarminXT available in this platform.

same concern as me , nokia map is the only solution now and there is also another software available but not sure if are any maps available for the software or not

Gosh..it is so expensive...

If it is above RM2500, i might give this phone a miss. After all, It was released in November 2008, and we're only getting it now. Almost 5 months (half a year later). And besides, Maemo 5 may become obsolete fast, with Intel and nokia merging to come out with the new OS Meego that will replace Maemo 5. Thne Maemo 5 will no longer have supports and updates? Coders will flock to Meego... ....the First phone targeted by Nokia/ Intel to come out using Meego is in mid 2010,which is like only 3 months away...

sigh, really a waste of time and effort explaining to this dude who don't even know how to differentiate 3G & Wifi access...

Public wifi(such in cafes & university campus) are free to use.

Perhaps your phone connected to 3G instead of WiFi?
Did you try asking for explanation from your service provider?
