well I am not putting high hope for Garmin for N900
Maemo is great but even the famous iphone does not have Garmin port to the OS x, with small Maemo user community, I think Garmin is not going to port them |

QUOTE(Qvarna @ Feb 5 2010, 10:26 PM) Looking at the number of users, there must be many maxis 3g subscribers there. Is it a problem with maxis (they do not want to help..), my 3G sim (which works fine with my N 73), the n900 hardware/ firmware, or my settings (after following every advise and instruction), but mine does NOT connect to internet! ... would it help if i promise 100RM to the FIRST, who ever gives me the settings. is there any error msg or anything? that should help better |

good news
well now new ORI N97 mini is RM17xx only~ same goes to N97 ori as well i guess while AP for N97 and mini is RM14xx~ since this is high end phone for nokia (not that high end to me actually because limitation of processor and touchscreen type) so i guess the price will be RM2500 and above, hopefully i am wrong |

QUOTE(Spunky @ Feb 23 2010, 09:28 PM) Hmm, curious to know what high end phone suits ur taste then? the google nexus one? of course maemo is good, better than the dying symbian , the current symbian OS in all the touchscreen phone is just the old OS with extra touch function. Sluggish performance. Many apps developer left symbian scene and thats why now nokia announced symbain^3 and make it open source to catch up with fast growing OS market like android and suchWell, between an iPhone and this, i would choose this, cuz i like a combination of a touchscreen + qwerty keypad. Though this may not be as slim and light as the iPhone, the processor is the same processor used in the iPhone 3GS. And the memory is expandable to an additional 16GB Just my 2 cents Nokia as seems going slow with technology now and sticking with slow processor and ram limitation in its current flagship N97. I wonder if N900 can be considered as the new flagship? Well the down side of the phone is not having multitouch. |

QUOTE(zero_kbom @ Feb 24 2010, 01:43 AM) N900 was never announced as the flagship by Nokia themselves...Yes I know that comparing N97 with N900 certainly favors N900 (And this comes from a N97 user lol)...But i hve to disagree that symbian was dying though...in terms of the functionality, it blows others out of the water. it just that the ui needed to be revamped...and that is what happening rite now even nokia admitted themselves that N97 software/OS is a failure and ensuring Symbian^3 is never happening again. since the announce of N95 flagship until now, just compare N96 (failure) and N97 (another failure), the function and specs doesnt really improve much. OS wise, pretty much the samething with extra touch capabilities. edit: ops off topic, lets stick back to N900, so far N900 is good, just that it needs more third party apps like Garmin This post has been edited by chicaman: Feb 24 2010, 05:12 AM |

QUOTE(chtan @ Feb 25 2010, 10:08 PM) I'm also very interested in this gadget. Might get 1 to replace my existing Omnia II. My only concern now is there are temporary no full-established GPS guidance software such as GarminXT available in this platform. same concern as me , nokia map is the only solution now and there is also another software available but not sure if are any maps available for the software or not |
