hmm after searching & googling i think turn off Turbo will not do any harm to ur proc laugh.gif ...

hmm still confuse about C1E & EIST....check my cpuz the vCore & multiplier not going down =.=...

it keeps at 1.248v & multiplier x20 all time....my temp all shows below 56c all the time....aiseh...no harm ka..

still confuse...some said off C1E only...some said turn off both....but is it true it will make the proc not stable if turn on both features?..

hmm im asking about lyn users experience...hope can tell a bit....thx ya! thumbup.gif

want to ask all pro here...i have this i5 mobo & using stock cooler...

i go tho bios and turn off the Turbo & C1E & EIST....

and im reading about it that turbo can make the multiplier goes to x24 & ya seems it really goes to x24 multiplier when i stress the cpu..

and C1E & EIST something about vdroop and multiplier....my question is...is it any harm to my cpu if i turn off all those three features?..

thx!...

ppl only turn off those feature to get stable overclock. if u dont overclock u should on all this because it will help u safe on ur electric bill

Hmm, how to make sure it's 1.65v ?

Btw, Using 5850 + 3 HDD's

megahalems harga berapa >?
*
ask the seller or u can check the voltage written at the side of the ram.

megahalems rm200+ i think. if u wan a cheaper solution get cm hyper 212+ abt rm100

swt.. y would they invent something tht can harm ur proc sweat.gif

EIST is same like turbo. Its also known as intel speedstep.

c1e is and advance c state. except c1e can also reduce voltage = save electricity

P55 UD4P + OCZ + megahalems
not so nice mine though, but performance wise more than enough for 24/7 usage.

nice rig @ 4ghz result bro drool.gif drool.gif ....

btw I tried to run 3.6ghz by Turn Off the turbo disable C1E & EIST.....180 Bclk x 20 = 3.6ghz @ stock volt & cooler....and my pc keep restarting & wont start sweat.gif ....

then i tried to change the Bclk to 172 x 21 @ 3.6ghz on same stock volt & cooler + Turn Off the turbo disable C1E & EIST...my pc now running biggrin.gif then run some 32M superPie lol....

here the screenshot..

Attached Image

so i think its oredi reach the bclk limit on my stock voltage smile.gif ...

seems that its quite hard to make DDR1333 ram stable @DDR1600 hmm.gif
i got around 3000MB/s less on memory write and read when running @DDR1200 compare to DDR1600.
any pros here can tell me how significant that 3000Mb/s is?
im having hard time adjusting my ram @DDR1600.

I was trying to Oc my I7 860 to 3.8ghz. btw..my ram using corsair xms3 2gb x2..so, how far this ram can go? I still newbie with the oc things..how to tweak the ram more efficient? In bios, ram frequency dont have 1600, only 1440, 1800 and above..which one should i choose?

my setup will be 180bclk x 21 @3.78ghz

then you should not have any problem running it @1440.
try run memtest 1st before running prime95 after you adjust the timing and voltage.
refer Here for overview of ram timing.

im not pro in RAM overclocking, but i can tell that it depends on your ram chip, cooling or setting whether u can reach 1800 or not.
u can try though by adjusting timing and voltage,my DDR1333 seems to struggle even at DDR1600 which only last around 2 hour on prime95 before getting error but stable on memtest and IBT(10 loop@2047MB ram utilization).
whats your vcore anyway? your temp are very high.

vcore should be 1.278. i think the temp will reduce if use better fans..im using noctua fan at low speed..800-1000rpm only
