I have no idea why , when I increase the volume on my iphone theres a message always popping up saying Quick Compose SMS.
Any methods to resolve this?

Gizmodo reports on findings by Russian site iPhones.ru which found that the iPhone 3.0 firmware may improve iPhone photography based on some testing.
iPhones.ru took side by side photos with new iPhone firmware and old iPhone firmware. That lead comparison photo is not the result of a single snapshot, but 30 that produced similar results: Firmware 2.2.1 blurred the cat, then 3.0 blurred the cat ever so slightly less.

A second set also shows similar results. (iPhone 3.0 left vs 2.2.1 right)

Apple tonight seeded the fifth beta version of iPhone OS 3.0 (Build 7A312g) and a new version of the iTunes 8.2 pre-release to developers. As with the previous beta, iTunes 8.2 is required to install the latest iPhone 3.0 beta software. No new features in the fifth beta version have been revealed at this early time.

Today's release is a bit of a surprise, coming just eight days after the release of the fourth beta when Apple had consistently been releasing beta versions to developers at two-week intervals. With only a month to go until Apple's sold out Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco where the iPhone OS 3.0 is certain to be a featured topic of discussion, Apple may be increasing the pace of developer releases to begin polishing things for the public showing.

using winter board will take around 20 to 25mb of your 128Ram on the iphone. i usually use memtools downloaded from cydia and always fre my ram in order for my phone not always lagg after a lot of app/games i play/use.

We've been keeping an eye on some reports coming out of Chinese forum Weiphone over the past couple of weeks, and it appears the reports are starting to spread. In early May, a forum poster from the Chinese site posted specs and a screenshot from what is claimed to be the next generation iPhone.

The image above was uploaded and seems to depict a new iPhone model number "MB717LL" with 32GB of Storage. If the original poster's claims are to be believed, the new iPhone will contain the following features:

- 600MHz CPU Speed (up from 400MHz)
- 256MB RAM (up from 128MB)
- Digital Compass and FM
- 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus
- 32GB size
- No major changes in battery, screen and external casing.

As far as we can tell, the original poster has no track record for accurate information, though the Chinese web/forums have been a common source of early photos of recent Apple releases including the unibody MacBook and MacBook Pro casings.

At this point, we're posting it for interest alone, though the information seems believable. It's certainly expected for the next iPhone to contain a digital compass and better camera. Increases in processor speed and RAM are also feasible.

Microsoft is heating up the Zune advertising  and is hinting at a June for a "new product launch".

We've had the hints that a new Zune, namely the Zune HD, could be surfacing this year but an interesting twitter update from the Microsoft Office 2010 team points towards June being the month of the Zune.

The twitter post simply states "June 2009 will be an important month for Zune lovers" but was followed up after a flutter of replies from Twitter users with another tweet saying "New product launch, that's all I'm allowed to say. Hold off from buying an iPhone/Pre. ".

Microsoft could be hinting at Zune services for Windows Mobile which have long been rumored as codename "Pink" combined with a rumored "Zune Phone". The software giant could also be hinting at new hardware. Either way we would bet this is to do with E3 which begins in early June. It's a week before Apple's WWDC and if Microsoft and Verizon have been planning a Zune Phone then a week before the new iPhone is a good time to announce it.

After restoring my phone i have 410MB for my apps now.
But I still only have around 200MB for my apps.

YES after UNINSTALLING Winterboard the overall respond of the iPhone 3G is much more smoother. That 1 to 3 second makes so much different for a users.

I still keep SBSettings because I need that quick 3G on off unless there is a Small Toggle Application that I can put on the Desktop or is it phonetop.

Apple also announced that it will be issuing a final Developer Preview version of OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard at the event.

"At WWDC, we will be giving our developers a final Developer Preview release so they can see the incredible progress we've made on Snow Leopard and work with us as we move toward its final release."

Apple CEO Steve Jobs is currently taking a medical leave of absence until June, and many have hoped that he will make his first public reappearance at WWDC. While today's announcement does not preclude an appearance by Jobs, it does appear that, unless plans change, he will not play his traditional keynote role.

Alongside the artist rendition of the upcoming 5G iPod Nano, iLounge also weighed in on the rumors surrounding the next generation iPhone.

They've been told that the next-generation iPhone will come in two different storage capacities across 3 distinct models depending on your local mobile carrier. The models are described as "3G, enhanced 3G ("3.5G/3.75G"), and mainland China versions". The case is said to be the same general design as the current model but with a "less scratchable matte plastic body". A previously leaked case image is included above which matches this description.

iLounge reports that only one version, however, will be made available to specific countries. China will obviously only get the Chinese version, while other customers will only get either the 3G or 3.5G models depending on their local carrier support. We would expect that U.S. AT&T customers would be given the 3.5G model which is likely to support the new 7.2 Mbps data network being deployed by AT&T.

Heard rumors that its already out in the market...
I am very interested to try on the 2g 8gb iphone.
