Dunno if this is mentioned anywhere else on the forum...

I upgraded my unlocked 3GS (from Apple Store, Melbourne) to FW3.1, and now my celcom tethering option has completely disappeared.

Anyone got a workaround? Maybe a new config file? This is a new area for me (configs etc), so I am not sure if a workaround is possible with a FW upgrade.

maxis carrier 4.0 is for firmware 3.0 and 3.0.1

Restoring to factory settings means all ur settings will be back to the default original state. It doesnt affect the firmware version as you are currently using it now.

When restore to factory setting, will it restore maxis carrier 4.0 even on FW 3.1?

i have one problem i try to google and you tube but i cannot find any answer to it.
How can we switch off the Auto Dimmer and fade out to black screen when the phone is idle but it's not... Sometimes i been reading ebook and the iphone just go blackout.

How can we set this to off?

try settings -> general -> auto-lock -> never


though i'm not entirely sure.

erm, an app just for that feature?

can't you like enable that "function" when you wanna read the said ebooks, and then turn it off upon completion?

besides, this one "messes" up with the system and i doubt apple will authorise such apps in the first place.

Some question regarding Maxis iPhone warranty. Can I claim the warranty from any branch of the Maxis outlets or I must go back to the outlet where I purchased it from?
