@marcus8886,
Yes... unless you're using your WiFi network which is connected to the Internet otherwise U will be utilising data services from Maxis hence is it chargeable.

@ansonliew,
The answers you're looking for can be found http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/998251 and http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry26578936

Also, no problems with using own songs as ringtones but for SMS tones, U will need to JB.

@SheepMekk,
Just press the Menu button to return to Menu - do not hold the Menu button for more than 3/5 seconds cause that will initiate/activate Voice Control.

@SheepMekk,
R U sure we're on the same topic cause my i3GS doesn't tell me the time; that's not how it's meant to function. U can ask it to dial a number, or dial someone from ur contact list, ask what song is playing, ask it to play songs by a certain artiste....

In order for us to help U, U haf to be able to diagnose the problem properly.

@idoblu,
It is possible to utilise RM2 of data - that's just 20/40kb depending on which plan u are on. If U ter-press Safari or open apps like Weather/YouTube/Stocks, U will automatically be connected to the GPRS services.

Go to Settings --> Usage and check what's ur current usage. If U haven't jailbroken ur phone the information on that is pretty accurate.

@idoblu,
U must haf had used it for something cause ur total usage here is 715kb and assuming you're on 1sen/kb then U'll be charged RM7.15 for this.

If U totally want to stop data from streaming in, disable APN. Go to http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1061070

@jphlau,
There could be several reasons; one is to conserve battery. Another is well.... i think he just doesn't want to be paying data charges tongue.gif

@bigtree,
Seeing the 3G/E sign doesn't mean U are connected to the data services; only when U see the loading icon (somewhere next to 3G) U are connecting to something, whether it's data services or Wifi.

@decavalera,
Settings --> Notifications - make sure it's set to On. Then check sub settings for BeejiveAIM and IM+.

My Push Email Alert is ON but I don't have an email address keyed in. Am not sure if push will work when the Push Email Alert is OFF but it should since this is supposedly only to toggle Push Email. What U want is not push email but push notifications.

@Akechi84,
Go to Settings --> Sounds and check if your Vibrate is set to On / Off. If it's indeed ON and if it's not vibrating, something is wrong!

@lactose_operon,
Once U do a back up restore, ur iPhone 3G will look exactly like the i2G. Just restore from the backup file.

@mandyxt,
Please refer to http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1061070 to learn how to disable APN if your phone is NOT jailbroken.

Some users have reported there are certain data charges despite not using it; we suspect it could be a background program running but we aren't completely sure. The theory is that if ur not using the data services, U won't be charged biggrin.gif

@zarif5191,
That's rather odd; I've never had such issues with my iPhones in the past, and certainly not with the i3GS. Could it be that Ur out of coverage area?

@bluesky87,
*SiGh* The total amount of SMS/MMS/Contact you're able to store is depending on the total size of ur i3GS; 4GB/8GB/16GB/32GB.
