QUOTE(comrade_a3 @ Aug 17 2009, 11:36 PM) no way to check. but if you are paranoid, you can opt for the "force quit" feature.hold the top right power button until "slide to power off" comes up. release the power button and proceed to hold the home button until it springs back. |

QUOTE(skp33 @ Aug 18 2009, 05:04 PM) why my iphone 3g cant install adobe flash player(cant support safari)? but it shown can support safari from adobe flash website? NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.any1 know the pro?coz i need it to view my cctv. the safari on your iPhone is not an actual safari application; as a matter of fact, it is derived from modified versions of the actual OS X and Safari which means their development process will be different. there are apps on the App Store which will enable webcam/cctv viewings from your iPhone |

QUOTE(axenophage @ Aug 19 2009, 08:09 AM) My old smartphone can detect HSDPA with 'H' on the screen.on my newly ip3gs seem not detect it.does it mean ip3gs not support hsdpa? learn to read manufacturer's websiteQUOTE 3G technology gives iPhone fast access to the Internet and email over cellular networks around the world. With support for 7.2Mbps HSDPA, iPhone 3GS also makes it possible to do more in more places: Surf the web, download email, get directions, and watch video — even while you’re on a call. Since iPhone seamlessly switches between EDGE, faster 3G, and even faster Wi-Fi, you always get the fastest connection available. You can even share your Internet connection with your laptop via Internet tethering.2 |

QUOTE(axenophage @ Aug 19 2009, 09:11 AM) Thx nokia 2003.indeed this is good news for me.ip3gs does have hsdpa tech.it just weird why apple didn't differentiate the 3G logo with HSDPA whereas others do it differently. simple, because AFAIK (and also IMHO), AT & T has not rolled out their next generation network successfully yet.apple has less tendency to discriminate their original network provider. clue: MMS, video calls et cetera Added on August 19, 2009, 9:19 amon the other hand, in an unrelated news, verizon has announced early this week that it has begun testing their next generation network This post has been edited by nokia2003: Aug 19 2009, 09:19 AM |

QUOTE(jodi @ Aug 22 2009, 09:32 AM) I'm new to the cctv "thing" and I'm not sure if anyone could understand me... i'm no expert, but logically, websites like these, require a certain degree of java and/or flash to be operational.I have generic dome cctv cameras. When I launch the webdvr web (DYNDNS) from my notebook, it will show the userid and password to key in. After I key in, I will see all the cctv cameras. I've entering the dyndns web with Safari... got past the login page but can't see the cameras. Anyone with success of viewing webdvr cctv on iPhone? Any recommended apps? Anyone can share your expertise? Added on August 22, 2009, 9:33 amAny workaround solution ? hence, it is up to you to inspect such requirements. there are a few apps on the app store, which enables one to view multiple webcams on the iPhone. however it is based on very native, current available technology i.e via IP addresses if i'm not mistaken. Added on August 22, 2009, 3:18 pm QUOTE(bluesky87 @ Aug 21 2009, 03:46 PM) Never bother to reboot. It still works, just a bit crazy (sot sot). Was wondering if anyone here experience the same thing before as I guess no one would really bother to play with the Voice Control over and over again? try to say "play song poker face". however if it doesn't work as prescribed, i can only speculate that your pronunciation is not up to par...Anyway I have Lady GaGa's Poker Face song and no matter how many person I ask to try to pronouns Poker Face so that my iPhone will play, it will never work. FYI mine is iPhone 3GS 32gb 3.0 with no jailbreak. This post has been edited by nokia2003: Aug 22 2009, 03:18 PM |

QUOTE(sokryswaslike @ Aug 23 2009, 11:50 AM) assuming that your unit is from maxis and you didn't jailbreak and/or configure anything to disable data influx, i can only recommend that you restore your phone and then use the backup to return to its original state.i'm recommending because you may need to download the carrier settings update. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « to read more about this, click here |

WiFi, bluetooth, dead pixels, crack casing, scratched screen (the screen is purportedly scratch resistent, so it has to be quite a substantial impact for such occurrence), loose dongles and controls et cetera |

QUOTE(afizudin @ Aug 28 2009, 05:12 PM) iPhone Generation : 3GS to be really honest, it would be extremely hard to prove to maxis that you are currently holding a faulty unit (from your reception "experiments"). the onus is on you.Unlocked? (or Part Number): Maxis Current Firmware : 3.01 iTunes Version : 8.2 Jailbreaking software : No Problem Encountered : Just wan to inform, i dont have any problem on my phone. I have noticed that i3GS reception worse on 3g than edge/gprs signal.. the signal bar very low between 1-2 bar.. but full strength when i turn 3g off. Especially when you hold the phone(right hand), the 3g signal from 4-5 bars dramatically drop down to 1 bar in few seconds.. when i put down the phone back, the 3g signal going up again.. however, this is not effecting to edge/gprs signal when u hold the phone. Steps Taken So Far : Try Maxis and Celcom, same result.. Test at Sg Buloh and Bukit Jalil, same result.. OS 3.0 and OS 3.01 same result.. Added on August 28, 2009, 5:24 pm go to Setting>General>International>Region Format> set to Malaysia my best bet? to ensure that you are not hallucinating, biased et cetera, is to exchange with a friend who is using the 3G S as well and from a different area. let him/her to experience your unit for a few days and see how it goes. if the problem still persists, then your claim against maxis would be more believable and substantial. |
