Under new TTVP, with RM1 for Unlimited Chat pass, can do unlimited voice/video WhatsApp call... No need GSM call... But must ensure credit validity always active...

Under old Buddies plan, then only use credit balance to make GSM call...

Live chat with tunetalk... They claimed whatsapp voice/video call not included in the unlimited chat.. data will be deducted from your available data.. this seem less attractive to me..
*
I can guarantee if you live chat tmrw, the next day, next week, we'll get different answer(s) from different CS... LOL..

These CS are part timers... Most of them come and go every months... Those part timers don't care about what answers they give becoz they know they won't be in that spot anymore... That's the danger of dealing with part timers... I always ask those support of how many years they have been in that company...

One thing for sure, I've made more than 72 hours of WhatsApp VIDEO calls and no deduction to data quota...

Funny that today i get LTE speed on TuneTalk despite having no active plan..

If we are under old Buddies Plan, watch out for PAYU charges...

If under the brand new TTVP, could be bugs of 10GB FBI... Instead of 64kbps, we still enjoy full LTE speed...

Hey azhar75, sorry newbie here, what do u mean by make sure credit validity always active?

In addition, I recently signed up with tube buddies and subscribed to vibe 15, I have a credit left of 3rm plus (from the SIM card I bought), so can I top up using boost rm 30 into my account and then buy the vibe 15 again? If that’s the case my credit will be 18rm and next month use it to buy vibe 15 again..Tq for your advice smile.gif

Credit validity =

+VIBE can only be purchased with credit/debit card :

Topup using Boost only adding to our credit balance. Those cash in credit balance CANNOT buy +VIBE plan(s)... Those cash in credit balance can buy "Datatata Plan" below:

I guess TT offerings are only suitable for lawyers (I'm not lawyer... LOL...) becoz the plans and TnC are very much "complicated" and "confusing" only lawyers can understand... LOL...

TQVM azhar75!

i didn't expect using a prepaid sim will be so confusing lol  tongue.gif

i still have MYR 3 till 8 Feb, does it mean that if i don't use it to buy something...or use it for call (Pay per use), it won't be able to use it after that?
Or it means that i need to top up fresh money and the total sum will be valid again until certain period of time...TQTQ for your kind advice again!  biggrin.gif
*
Yes... After 8th Feb, the credit balance will be "frozen" until we do topup using Boost (or other means...)

The rule of topup validity is RM1 for 1 day validity. Say, we topup RM10, another 10 days validity will be added. But if we are in the old Buddies plan, just buy the RM28 for 365 days validity. No more worries about credit validity for one whole year...

You are still in the old Buddies plan yaaaa....?

the other thing is with 64kbps, how's the smoothness of the whatsapp video and call?
if i open the video link from whatsapp does it count under the package of unlimited call as well? haha just wondering  brows.gif
*
WhatsApp VIDEO and VOICE call is inside the WhatsApp app. So, the data that TTVP will use is not the 64kbps. It'll be full speed (depending on coverage and congestion). So far, I did not face any VIDEO call deterioration.

If the link directed to apps OUTSIDE WhatsApp, then, the normal data quota will be used. Say, we click a link in the WhatsApp message and the link suddenly opens YouTube app, then, the data quota will be used. So, be very careful when opening any link in WhatsApp messages.

All these protocols make TTVP very confusing & only lawyers understand how it works... LOL... (me not lawyer yaaa....)

I have a new tag line for TT:

"TuneTalk Prepaid : Only for Lawyers"

oh i see...will check out the RM 28 for 365 days...
i just signed up recently but since i could purchase Vibe, i suppose i'm at the old Tune buddies plan  tongue.gif
*
Yup... Once can buy +VIBE plan, it's under old Buddies... So, encourage to buy RM28 for one year validity unless we have intentions to buy +VIBE plan every month...

Attached Image

As for me, I just buy RM28 for one year validity and buy +VIBE15 as & and when required... This +VIBE15 acts as backup call and data only if my main line (UMobile GX50) goes wrong...

thanks for the tip bro! so i just go to "Top up"...and subscribe to 1 year validity ya...
and then the next time my quota for VIBE15 ends, i just buy VIBE15 again and this new validity will be 1 year as well?  rclxms.gif
*
Precisely... Once we subscribed to one year validity, can buy +VIBE (thru credit/debit card) or Datatata (thru credit balance) anytime we wish... The line will never go "expire" or inactive for the next 365 days... That is if we really wanna stay in TT for a year lahhhh...

Attached Image

Just watch out for PAYU charges if our data quota exhausted before 30 days period... Or even after 30 days, we continue use the data, PAYU will take place... Later all our credit balance will burn if we don't monitor data usages... This is the danger part about old Buddies plan... Always remember to disable the data settings in our phone after 30th day...

Some phones settings can automatically block/disable data connection after reaching certain quota, see below for Pocophone F1 settings :
Attached Image

If got plan in the near future to port out, better not buy that one-year validity...

So, if this TT is our secondary / backup line, then, it's good to buy one year validity...

Hi all. I got a quick question. I’m on vibe plan. Why is it that when I make calls, it actually deduct from my RM5.00 FREE CREDIT instead of the given minutes?? Any idea?
*

You have a good point. By right, any off-net calls should consume the allocated minutes "first" before deducting from RM5 FREE CREDIT. I have to complaint for this discrepancy :

i called the cs before, she said they will deduct the RM 5 free credit first then only the free allocated minutes lol
*
I edy proposed to them to:
1) Change that RM5 airtime credit to 50 SMS, or
2) Maintain RM5 free credit but only for SMS and PAYU charges. All calls should be directly deduct from allocated call quota.

Let's see if they accept my suggestion or not...

Hi azhar, may I know why you would suggest for RM5 to turn to 50sms?
And what's the difference of deducting from free rm5 credit given or the allocated calls given? Does it make any difference?

Won't rm5 credit is better, which allow the user has the flexibility to use it for call or sms?
How frequent would people these days use sms?
*
The rasional behind :
1) The calls made were not deducted from 30 minutes all network quota. So, the 30 minutes quota will be used AFTER RM5 free credit is exhausted. I was hoping the calls should be deducted from 30 minutes quota and AFTER this quota exhausted, then only deduct from RM5. But now, it's the other way around.

2) If TT really wanna make revenue, converting RM5 to 50 SMS will cut cost further (as not many ppl use SMS) and at the same time differentiate their offering to other telcos.

3) Some MALAYSIAN never bother to reply WhatsApp/Telegram/FBM/etc messages. So, SMS is an option to get their attention. Also, SMS is used to send anonymous messages to ppl not in our address book "quickly".

Nevertheless, the RM5 is better if it is not including calls deduction. Should be strictly only for SMS or PAYU charges.

Hi Azhar75, I'm with Vibe200 now but will end soon and if I buy yearly plan then it'll be the TT buddies or TTVP? This no# mainly for data only and very little call, top up Rm30 can last almost 6 months. Which will you recommend?
*
I was like your spot last December where the +VIBE200 ended on my Buddies account.

So, if we wish to continue with yearly data plan, no more +VIBE200. The only option is Datatata RM200 for 120GB annually. Not attractive I'd say.

What I'm subscribing now is +VIBE15 but not on monthly basis coz I edy have UMobile GX50 for "unlimited" data usages. The +VIBE15 is only my backup plan if GX50 goes wrong or if I extremely need high speed data usage. TT download speed is the best IMO becoz their cell towers are rarely congested.

If we have no intention to get UMobile GX30/GX50, for data usage, better search around for other options from other telcos. But if we can survive with "small" data usage per month, maintain with +VIBE plan and subscribe the RM28 one-year validity too.

Our next option could be UniFi Mobile or Yoodo. Do the homework before commit or port-out...

If TT is our primary number, port out...

If TT is secondary / backup number, stay with Buddies Plan. Don't switch to TTVP.

i submit a mnp online at the tunetalk portal, but after receiveing the sim, tunetalk gv me a new sim number. i want to do mnp instead of new sim, email the request to TT helpdesk, they only ak me for info but after that nvr feedback already.

wasted rm30.
*
We MUST give a call to 010-777 7112 to inform them that we have "safely" received the SIM card. Only then, the MNP process will be initiated.

Either by today or tmrw you should get an SMS from current telco to get permission from you to port out. Replying to "YES" or "Y" must be done within the same day/hour. Ensure you turn on the phone's sound notification to the max for today and tmrw.

After successful ported in to TTVP, in your account, you should get RM15 rebate (due to 50% rebate of 1st RM30 topup promo...)

I wonder if I got it wrong the steps..

My vibe15 expiring on yesterday and before it expired, I bought the yearly limit of RM 28.

Then just now when I checked, it shows that I’m using pay per use now. I thought it will extend my vibe15 as I still have data and free calls.

Can anyone help to advise. TQ

The RM28 one year validity is important to ensure we enjoy the +VIBE data quota anytime we wish (within the +VIBE's 30 days period).

No point to subscribe the +VIBE plan when the account is not active / in grace period... Say next week the credit validity expires but we buy +VIBE15 today. We can only use the 4GB data quota until next week and after that, cannot use the data anymore because account is in grace period.

But, since we edy activated the RM28 one year validity, PAYU is always the biggest threat to eat all the credit balance in our account... Just be extra careful with PAYU charges...
