Ya. Too bad as deferred tax is charge back to this quarter.  Otherwise the operating profit looks good.  Hope next quarter can get better dividend.

I think shouldn't be that bad. Power producers still a good industry. Lots of folks buy YTLPower for dividends. Maybe some folks may misunderstand the reason for the drop in the dividends tomorrow and start a sell off. Then I can pick up for a bit cheap price. I'll only get if below RM2.10 though, not sure if it will get to that point.

What do you think of YTLP result? Seems like bad sad.gif

Is it because of dividend that you think it is bad ?
The deferred tax is 1 time off. Personally I think it is ok.
The tax caused some numbers to turn ugly like EPS<dividend paid.
On the bright side the revenue is up by 110% and should maintain since they are in Utility business.
Also, I think Seraya saved her from making loss this quarter, lol...
Correct me if im wrong.

Need to pay attention to the outcome of their appeal to increase water price in UK..

On the other hand, looks like there are more good news than bad news in US.
Economic Indicators up, AIG repaying loans and Lower Mortgage rates VS US unemployment
(3-1)
So, today's green is justified ? hmm.gif sweat.gif

In actual fact, as long as you are having 1 unit, you will still be entitle to the div. But, who would be that stupid to buy 1 unit for the div while pay commission >RM40

Stocks Higher After Positive Economic Forecast

Investors are placing small bets on stocks as they keep receiving mixed signals about an economic recovery. Major stock indicators edged slightly higher early Thursday, including the Dow Jones industrials, which rose about 25 points. The modest gains came as a private research group said its forecast of economic activity rose for a fourth straight month in July, but at slower pace than in the past three months.

Already stop loss before the rise. Anyway, the rise wasn't that high. Little volume. tongue.gif

Back in the bunker... getting ready for another assault for
tomorrow: Option Expiration Day.

This gotta be deadly for bulls. brows.gif

Update:
Strange... looks like the bulls are retreating already. tongue.gif

I think by end of day, the bulls will scramble and sell off. biggrin.gif

Looks like the local big sharks are dominating the market now. Almost half of them.
No wonder they want to attract more foreign investments. The local ikan bilis are
not enough to feed them.
