Hi Sifu s,

I would like to know how you guys judge whether a company is worth to buy or not? Total Equity > Market Cap? P/E? ROE? consistent earning? etc...

Mind to share? =)

-CG being a call warrant means got nothing to do with AirAsia other than it tracks it stock price. Call warrants are normally issued by third parties and have no bearing on AirAsia.

Everyone have their own approach, you need to build one yourself.

Before that, ask yourself, what kind of investor you are?

- daytrader/scalper - quick in, quick out, daily or settle the next day
- short term trader : self define, either 1-2 weeks or more
- mid-term trader : longer period than short term trader, may wait for dividend, bonuses etc
- long-term trader : hardly look into portfolio, visit once in a while.

Currently, PE, ROE makes no difference in the price movements. A loss company share can skyrocket better than profitable company.
Not in Malaysia but US Market also. Take Dell for example: Announced lower that street estimate profit but the share jumped 5 % to $16.50

Investopedia explains Call Warrant
A warrant is similar to an option, the main difference is that warrants are issued by a company attempting to raise capital.

My father owns AirAsia, and today I asked him if he knows about AirAsia-CG and he said he has no idea. And he also doesn't know if the AirAsia-CG is allotted into his account or not. So, from skid's explanation of this has nothing to do with AirAsia.... then when exercising the warrants, who takes the cash? Isn't it AirAsia?

What's the difference between this AirAsia warrants and YTLPower warrants? I've read about YTLP holders talking about waiting for their next warrants cos of high yield/capital gain. So my question is, if warrants are not allocated to the shareholders in the first place... then how does these people buy the warrants at such high discount to the market price?
