Hey guys, i purchased an 14R 2 days ago from AllITHypermarket. i submitted the warranty information the yesterday and i havn't received any reply from DELL yet.

Added on May 14, 2012, 9:35 amoops. i spoke too soon.

gave a call to Dell just now and they said at the moment, the information is based on when Dell shipped out to the retailer shop. once the online registration (i did yesterday) is complete, the new info will be updated. it will take 5 days maximum. the Dell assistant did an excellent job explaining everything to me.

Inspiron 15R SE can layan WoW on "very high" settings smoothly? I guess that'll be the most graphic "intense" game I play.
Recommendations of other (cheaper) laptops are greatly welcomed

Just hated the fan sound and it goes into high speed ever so frequently. Kind annoying.

u need 2 kill rundll32.exe at task manager.. dun open the game explorer..

u need a cooling pad.. my fan won't noisy if normal browsing.. if on utube or flash stuff alot.. it will happened..

worth b'cos of i7 but u guys will face the noisy fan issue.. the best solution is get urself a better cooling pad.. if u can get hdd 7.2k RPM would be good.. dell offered 5.4k RPM which is the weakness... the inner build was not great but guess what my lappy still kicking strong.. i purchased 3 yrs warranty now left 1~2 yrs already..

rmb always to kill "rundll32.exe" (right-click > end process) which is running under task manager > processes

I just got an Inspiron 15R SE. Is there anyway to turn off my LCD by pressing a button? Like now I'm downloading my games through Steam, I want to let it download with the LCD off, can I do that?

And what is that "rundll32.exe"?

7.2k HDD, skullcandy speakers, 2gb graphic (don't know if the 2gb is dedicated or not) and backlit keyboard option...correct me if i'm wrong..just now try to customize 14r special edition...

does anyone know apart form the 7.2k HDD and backlit keyboard..is it worth to get it than normal ones....

the graphic if dedicated 2gb is very good or so-so only compared to the 1gb ones in normal inspiron 14?
