Its hard to find these days. Not much of a difference anyway, you're best off waiting for sales and picking up the trilogy + EotN. If you're starting off now, it might be slightly harder to get a 30/50 HoM but its still worth getting into.

I see, well I'm a bit intrigued after reading Ranger could get special pets from HoM.

Asuran thieves are great fun to play ;D I had a chance to play it during Eurogamer. I would say the game is very fast and fluid and you very often find yourself rolling and moving about. Little time to sit and read your skills.


The pets in the HoM are purely aesthetic Might even find something you like better in the game ala rainbow phoenixes from GW1

Yes, from the video that I saw, Thief sound like a fun, action pack profession. I saw video where thief went into stealth and steal something from a giant oak to bash 1hko another mob, running on roof top and pistol teleport, don't know how that work though.

but most of the demos people played guild wars 2 like other mmo, stand still and spam skills, not much blocking and dodging, I may as well says none.

and Asura elite is summoning a golem right? the asura and his ally can both use the golem suit.

The videos don't do the game justice. You can choose to stand still and spam skills yeah, but don't expect to live longer than 10 seconds, especially with a horde of zombies coming at you.

I tried that once and got eaten alive.

Seeing how easy it is to get 30/50 , I'm tempted to buy extra copies of GW to level to 30/50 and then sell them to upcoming GW2 players.

Too lazy for a few extra bucks. If the time taken ain't too long, shoot for it. Highly likely those idiots playing WoW and moving on will want to twink their characters to hell. Those are the morons who will fork out $500 for a 30/50 account.

It will. Anet is good at making things scale and IIRC the lowest settings will look like GW1, which itself already looks bloody amazing for such an old game.

I'm sure it will be able to handle it, graphics don't look too overwhelming considering it looked the exact same when they first showed it off. TBH some of the textures I've seen in the latest press release beta videos are horrendous, hopefully by the time it comes out, they'd have improved on that department with a slightly higher res texture pack or something.

Don't know the hardware of the press release videos, but the one at Eurogamer was running on top end hardware I reckon there were fps fluctuations when I tried it out (unoptimized at that point).
