Wah! Big towkey! U got Oppo BDP-83! Congratulation! Yes Oppo BDP-83 load very fast.....some more got lotsa of setting to do ( I like to do lotsa of setting ). Even got 'memory' so u can resume from your 'last watched' position in BD. A very good feature which I missed in my Panny BD 30. So how muchy u got? OVer here it is Rm2,950-00 with two setting BD PQ & AQ.
BTW where in S'pore got sell Dune 3.0 & how much? Tq very muchy for the info.

I was offer the sony 360 to replace the panny 60 if i cant wait, told me it might 3-4 weeks for the panny 60 to arrive, so if i cant wait they are willing to replace the 350 sony bd. Anyway any different between the sony 350 n 360 .

Here are the comparison pics for both S350 & S360... performance wise, I can't notice any differences.. maybe the S360 loads a little faster than S350.

As Ronnt mentioned, the remote on the S360 does not have eject button, funny. But, I could still use the remote from the S350 to work on both models... so that S360 remote is kept in the refrigerator... . The remote from S350 is more solid build compared to S360.... cut cost..??

I kinda like the exterior design of both models... so far no complaint for both these models..

for this kind of price 3k.. wouldn't it be easier to buy two cheapo Region A and region B players and also Dune or C-200 , three units all in one..

waste the space and need alot of plug..
many ugly cable too

so you should recommend people to use HTib instead of amp/BD/processor/media player/power amp/seperate brand subwoofer setup then..

if can get the same quality, i think that is not bad also

Most definately, but I would like to stress that there are differences even in PQ, would u realize it is what matters. Also if u needed the SACD, DVD-A player.

If all u r looking for is a multi region player, ar188's approach is the best, especially if u r watching it in a screen <50in. If u r projecting it on a large screen, looking for a very good DVD upscaler (old school I know, but there are people with a large collection that might not all get upgraded to BD), watch a lot of concerts at 1080i, need multi region and have a substantial SACD, DVD-A collection, the Oppo is for u.

Else, follow ar188s suggestion, get a cheapo region A and another region B player, u will not see the differences.

BTW, how much is the Dune now? That is an interesting product, would like to get my hands on one to test the PQ.

top one is 350, bottom one is 360....

I am not 100% sure about the differences between them other than design, & probably some slight faster loading time. My 350 cost more than my 360.. doubled...
