My current laptop needs about 900 secs++... it's an asus f3jp and its about 3 years old... c2D T5500 merom, ati x1700 256 MB... very nice, never got breakdown... got bugs but that's just like any other laptops... and it is very outdated....

Maybe your hdd is better bro.

Mine is oso running quite a bit of background programs at start. Plus the windows vista gadgets oso running quite a bit..

Chipset limitations also mean the 10 second mark is all but unattainable. Perhaps 30 secs would be more realistic.

Some RPGs require good CPUs too. The upcoming Dragon Age would be a good example.

Er... I think my S15 need about 2mins till sidebar and wlmsgr finish load... Isit slow??? Alrdy close all startup which i think it's not necessary in msconfig. Nvr reformat b4 coz I don't know how to reformat and no backup media for my data. Lolz
