My laptop haven't receive yet.. I bought the customized studio 15 lappy and i wanted a bag but no money so i called up dell and tell them whether i can get a bag or not, say i student, no money afford then tell the lady operator nicely say wanna travel with my lappy no bag can't travel, so can help me out or not. Then she direct me to this top sales guy called Ross Chan and he say I just need to send him an email stating that I want to change my spec of my lappy to include a backpack with no additional charges. Before I send him the email, he called me and say which bag I want, then i say I want Belkin Backpack, then he ask what colour, I say black, then he say "okay, just send the email to me". wala~ settled.. he even got me his direct call number.

any idea where to get laptop sleeve for dell studio 15?because most of the sleeve available in market are for 15.4inch not 15.6inch

+1 Epic. They don't really mind to throw out freebies to the customer especially the sales agent, some of them are really Santa Claus in disguise.

The main point here is asking nicely. If you are sweet talker I believe your chance of getting freebies is high

for those who is using w7,is the ricoh card reader working?mine seems to be not working

actually this is just their strategy, 1st thing first is wat is your price of getting your laptop, if u get quite a normal price then most probably they will give u free when u request.
for my case, i buy my 1555 using the midday rush coupon, so their margin is lower down and they don give me any freebies.

correctly me if im wrong, especially those got both midday rush and freebies~ XD

i bought when there is a midday rush coupon for 1555 wif p8600, for rm200

HELP!!! I'm a studio 1555 user. the one with the p8700 processor

whenever i tried to connect to the internet via a wireless network at my home, the max speed i got is only 18mbps, which is ridiculously slow!
whilst my friend's older acer aspire 4715z shows 54mbps at the same location and the same time. ><

I've tried updating the driver for my Intel Wifi 5100 via intel's latest driver site, but it doesn't make any difference.

What's happening? >< Help me....somebody

mine upgrade till RM4100 for studio 1555 including 3 year warranty and I get a bag free..

how long does it take to boot up the laptop till all background programs are loaded and the laptop is responsive enough for, say, dota?

and the ati mobility radeon 4570.. it's about 50% weaker than its 4670 counterpart right ? >_<.. that one is a bit of a turn off isnt it? not to mention ati mobility radeon 5000 series is going to be launched in a few months...

1st...C2D is overkill for Dota...i7...lol...
i7 gt sumthing call turbo boost...it can boost up ur core performance...
if im nt mistaken...4570 gt 4k for benchmark...while 4670 get 7k....
if u play dota or l4d...tis machine can handle it well...

erm, dota is just for a benchmark bro, if the machine needs only say... 10 seconds from the moment i press the power button till the moment i can start warcraft III tft.. then it's an absolute-must-buy.

but i plan to play FPS too which are more demanding than dota i guess ^^

BTW, 10 seconds with the condition that i have quite a bit of background programs running automatically when windows start..

10 sec to boost up ur comp? wat a weird demand....hw 2 say...u can always off those unwanted start up program in msconfig...mine around 40 sec...to start ev thing...if im nt wrong....Asus gt such hting call power gate or boost....i forget wat its name ad...within 8 sec...u can run ur lappy ad...

slow loading mostly because hdd, its not really depend on how high end cpu you got.
