Hi fellow Studio15 proud owners...

I'm former XPS M1210 user & it's scrwed after 2yrs5mths.

I'm looking for new laptop, Studio15 is the lastest model I taking into considerations. Due to the excellent after sales service I experienced (but not so good with my XPS, hot, heavy, slow).

FYI, my XPS M1210 spec as below:
QUOTE
Intel® Core™2 Duo T5600 1.83GHz
1Gb 533MHzl DDR2 SDRAM x2
NVidia GeForce GO 7400
12.1" Wide Screen XGA display TrueLife™
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
DVD-RW Drive…… x2
Intel® 3945ABG Wireless Mini Card
10/100MBps Network Card
56k Internal Modem
Dell™ Wireless 355 Bluetooth Module
Sigmatel 9200 Onboard Sound Card
65W AC Adapter

Can anyone tell me, Studio15 hot during operating?? I rili sked with Dell actually, after my XPS M1210 experience.

I customised a Studio15, price RM3325, with 3yrs warranty.

Anyone mind to help me see if the hardware I chose is conflicting eachother? Or the heating issue?

I considering Dell due to its excellent aftersales service only.
The outlook fo Studio15 not as bad as other brand too.
Most important is, they got the fancy backlit keypad ;p
user posted image

If getting a Asus? I'll considering Timeline or VAIO FW already.

ASUS which model is best of value?

Thanks for the advise~

Wah...
U really geng lor...
All kind of model oso can think of.

But I can't locate the AUS website in M;sia...

Why? They dun have 1?

Added on September 17, 2009, 1:27 pmWell... Read some review on this.

It does really match with my preference so far (ofcoz, I have to compromise a lil' on the unit... I.e 15.6" to 14" display in order to gain the light weight from 2.7kg to 2.1kg.
But I still get a lil' more of the Timeline feature, longer battery life (from 2.5hrs to 5hrs, Studio15 -> SU80V)

A fair 1-to-1 barter I'd say.

Where can I look for the authorize outlet, or website?
I wish to extend this warranty to the max they available (bad experience from my previous laptop).

Why don't you just purchase from Dell? They run out of stock or what?

I though I saw a seller selling that in Garage Sales under Notebook section.

It's a common Linux distro that is completely free to use and distribute.

You can download or order the CD for free.

It is one of the best ways to jump onto the Linux bandwagon.

Trust me, it looks awesome.
