i dont think will crack if u use good drill & good drill bit...why dont melt it? hahaha its more easier i guess...just find metal..make it hot using the cooking gas...then poke poke
if u got the soldering device u can use that too...just plug into wall socket..wait 5mins...then poke poke...hahah but it might smell tho...coz plastic burning...& u might need to scrap off that melted plastic on the soldering device... btw that pic...dont put the bottle water above the food..later if leaking all the food gone This post has been edited by infernoaswen: Jul 19 2011, 08:20 PM |

QUOTE(*dReaM FaNtaSy* @ Jul 19 2011, 10:47 PM) owh means like infernaswen say well it should if u do it right...there might be a little extra plastic at the side since u melt it but it should be ok...not that noticeable...take a metal nail put on the stove until hot then slam it aggainst the plastic so it melts? is the hole created circular? like nice shape hahaha i did a simillar thing with my hamster toilet. but i used needle since the plastic was thin. i wanted to make hole so that i can use a metal wire to tie the toilet to the end of the cage coz the hamster keep moving the toilet to random places in his cage |

yeah but he move it not because he want...he move it coz he goes into 1 conner then start biting the cage...his butt so big that the toilet will move when he does that
i never had problem with cage cleaning...when i cleaning his cage i will take him out...he will run around the room...come back to me..check what i doing...then look at his house & go back running around...but he knows la...when cleaning time he sure will get fresh food later |

QUOTE(*dReaM FaNtaSy* @ Jul 20 2011, 07:59 PM) haha ic ic oooooo i never knew that....thats a very useful tip erm its true one cause im a psychology student actually undertaking pet behaviour studies it was found that hamsters get stressed when their stuff are moved around its just like you la, if someone go in your room and rearrange all your things in a "neater" way you wont like it either would you? also if you all choose a hamster, never choose a hamster that keeps grooming themself you may think wah so cute the hamster groom groom groom but when animals keep grooming (applies to cats too) they are stressed grooming helps them distress and relieve anxiety thats why some animals when they upset.. they go bald more obvious in cats u should know how to de-stress hamster then right? how? give them their favourite food? or just leave them alone? |

QUOTE(bakabakayaro @ Jul 21 2011, 12:24 AM) one of my WW,s i notice, getting smaller in size.. sick? he doesnt seem to be eating much recently, hence getting smaller, while his brother is still the same size. could be many reason...age, temp changes, mood, environment....its not easy for hamster to fall sick but if suspect its sick then its better to bring to a vetQUOTE(ix3Rukia @ Jul 21 2011, 12:30 AM) |

well it depends...not all males eat the babies (but some does)...u need to monitor...if they all get along then should be ok...but just keep an eye la...
another thing is its good to separate coz maybe after sometime then the male will try to mate with the female again...thats not good..later she will be exhausted... This post has been edited by infernoaswen: Jul 21 2011, 04:01 PM |

QUOTE(*dReaM FaNtaSy* @ Jul 23 2011, 10:42 PM) infernaswen, manage to find the pet shop? i found a guy in pet store selling 2ft tank for rm55 so i pm him already waiting for his reply...if he can cod nearby my area then maybe i get from him... markjohn, i dont think im buying the tank cause have to sell off my 1.5 ft i put my hamster at my bookcase now, since its 1.5 ft the distance from the top of the tank from the next level's shelf is quite big, so hamlet have loads of fresh air but if i get 2ft, i scared the height too tall also, then the gap small i scared the air stale |

i like the scented ones coz sometimes when i dont use aircon & leave my pc on when running linux to do some heavy processing task the room gets quite hot then the hamster will sleep in the toilet wan.....
so his fur sometimes get smelly....so at night if i use aircon he will sleep in his house back with scented bedding...then he will smell good back |
