REALCollector: Just got the parcel today only ! Phew. Everyday I check the website to see if it's coming. Can see that it has arrived but stuck at Malaysian side due to the Raya holidays I think. Everytime when Friday comes, I give up hope because I never get anything delivered on Fridays. Monday maybe only. Therefore I was so glad that the package came today.

Anyway, just very happy today that I got my package from Germany that were seen stuck for the longest time. To my surprise, another package from US (left one) which I did not expect came quite quickly and arrived today too.



The US package left on September 29th but reach the same day as the package from Germany that left 10 days earlier.

If you look at the details, it only took 2 days for the package from Germany to arrive to Malaysia. Super fast. The US package took 7 days.

Anyway, anybody want to take a guess at the 3 models from Germany? All 3 are Kyoshos. The package from US consist of 2 models. One's a HW Elite and the other is a Minichamps.

BTW, the Super Elite in the last trivia was a Black FXX no. 30.

Anyway, this one came in from Belgium today. 2 race cars. One is an Aston from Le Mans and the other is a BMW dealer edition WTCC model.

AMG_soh: That Reventon roadster is sendiri buat. Use dremel and mod accordingly. Nobody is making it yet.

So far I only know BBurago and Welly makes them. From what I can see of the pics and read on the internet, the Welly is better since the BBurago is a little off the scale.

Internals and engine wise, both are not to the standard of Kyosho / AA of course.

Today, this one arrived from Spain. Very cheap model. Got it because if it were another brand, I could not afford it. This should satisfy me first.

I have not taken it out of the box yet but from the looks of it, it's no AA or Kyosho level. There are gaps here and there but for the price, I think it's ok. The Harrods livery is great though.

REALCollector: Can I guess that Le Mans winner? From Spark? I may have just received that in 1/18 scale. I'll try and post some pics. The Prodrive version is coming too.

Well, I'm quite crazy about McLaren GTR but not crazy enough to buy the USD 200 ++ UT models. Waiting for Minichamps to come out with their version. Else, I'll just stick to 1/43 scale for the other McLaren GTRs.

advocado: Yes, you are right that it's a risk. I usually buy more expensive and higher quality stuff online and usually don't buy Maisto's or BBuragos. Of course unless they are dirt cheap. But then, I was desperate when I saw a McLaren F1 that I cannot buy (even cheaply) locally. I don't think you can find Guiloy brand here in KL. Anyway, for the price I won plus shipping, it worked out quite ok.

REALCollector: Hmmm... Ok, now that you showed me the wrong model you got from US, I'm guessing that you wanted to buy the 2007 Aston LeMans winner? Or is the one you got from UK the 2008 Le Mans winner? Because if I'm wrong, the guy from US must be really colour blind to not being able to differentiate between 2007 and 2008 winner when you ask for the 2008 winner.

Anyway, if I were you, I would have kept the model and ask for some compensation. Sending the model back at our own cost, you loose both ways.

I know what you mean about being picky. I'm finding space problems myself. But yes, the Spark version is the only faithful one that depicts the correct race livery. I may have to get myself one and perhaps use Photoshop to create one for the 1/18 scale.

subaru22b: Sometimes these handmade models you find on the net from China are based on kits that are assembled and hand painted by themselves. After that they sell it off. I bought a 1/43 scale McLaren F1 GTR #44 Lark and the workmanship is very good. You need to ask them what kit are those models built from. That would determine the quality too.

LH_430Scuderia: From what I gather, there are quite a few shops in HK. I have not been there myself. When I was there the other time, I was looking at other stuff as I was inot into this hobby yet.

On another note, asking somebody to tumpang and carry a 1/18 diecast model with the box can be a little troublesome. It's not easy to handcarry it because of the box. Takes a bit of space too.

Anyway, update from my last post, this one finally arrived 2 weeks back after 3 months enroute from UK to MY. I thought the package was lost already since no tracking. My first R34.





Then last week, two packages arrived. The left one from Greece (finally arrived ) and the other one from HK. The one from Greece came with 2 Le Mans racers (one from 1998 and one from 1997). The one from HK is my long awaited Reventon and Suzuka Grey R8.

That also through ebay as I'll wait for it to be below retail price which is sometimes difficult for new items. For ModelCarExpo, I think myke is a veteran. This is what greeted me last night at home... Came from Canada.

Then this morning, got another package from Parcelforce UK in the office.





A note about Parcelforce packages. They cannot be tracked from Post Malaysia. You need to go to their own website in order to get the tracking info. But the tracking was good and detailed. Kastam opened up the box to check. I presumed they did that because they saw the BMW / Mini logo sticker on the outside box. Some more did not close the Mini box properly.

Don't think you'd get a reply for that one...


Anyway, the way things have turned out, I'm really sore about the situation that I now most likely would end up with 2 units of the SL65 AMG Black Series. Thinking about the whole incident makes me sick to my stomach. What turned out to be a genuine offer to help purchase the model out of my own pocket since I was also getting one has taken a 180 degree turnaround and backfired on me. I never expected to be taken advantaged off moreover from a person I felt was truly wanting the model based on his login nick.

Now that I got this off my chest, I'd like to move on and enjoy my diecast and not be too disturbed about the whole incident. Lest somebody makes a comment to remind me "Hey, why do you have two SL65 AMG Black Series in the same black colour?" on my coming haul...

So if anybody would like to own a 1/18 SL65 AMG Black Series Dealer Edition and buy it off me, sent me a message. It's not here yet but I would be very grateful if you would state your interest to purchase.
