Jasonist: Wah, Z4 poison ! Aiyoh, the base spoil only. Don't know when mine will come. sad.gif

Anyway, just some comments. Usually, when dealing with high dynamic range scenes (bright background and subject in the shade), you would want to use a flash (yes, flash during daytime) to overcome the bright background. The scene is even more difficult when you deal with a white subject.

tiensheng: Congrats on the R35 ! Looks like the new one has some additional decals on the top of the car. I believe the plastic casing with the signature is the same yours.

Well, your aquisition prompted me to do some serious experimental shoots a few nights ago. Some shots to share;

hokuan: Congrats on your haul ! Mind sharing what you got? biggrin.gif Nice outdoor Citroen shots. More realistic if you sling mud on the car. laugh.gif Postman looks like not working for me since no package from Friday. But this came in for me yesterday...

user posted image

Today, this small one came in from UK. sad.gif I guess that the reason why this one took so long to come.

Luckily the car and casing inside were not damaged.

aurion: Congrats on the beamer. Is that Kyosho? The interior looks good and looks like very well made but the exterior looks like there is some problems with the fitting and alignment of the lights / side doors. Wah, you also have a lot of oldie goldies. smile.gif

Howard Tan: Congrats on the BBR Enzo. Looks like the normal one? I believe that one is not produced in limited quantities like the others. Great group shot there. You have two BBR F430 of the same colour? Here's a quickie group shot I did when I got the F50.

F60, F50 and F40 (Left to Right)

DesmondC: Great mod on the Tofu car. Looks good. myke looks like a good modder from the stuff he has posted. Lucky for you that you have him to help you.

So what's in yesterday's two packages? drool.gif

Both are BBR models but I would think nobody can guess it. laugh.gif

Howard: Agree with what you said and understand what you're trying to get at. Yes, a diecast can be much sought after like UT's McLaren F1 cars even though they were not meant to be limited edition when it was originally released.

I made that remark because my original point of contention has always been that after paying so much for a reasonably good model, it would be nice to see a serialised certificate or base plate together with the model. If not individually serialised, at least it's nice to know that only a certain limited quantity of your model exist in the world. HW with their Super Elite line comes with serialised models. At least this was a smart move on their part to make their models targeted at a higher end market like BBR.

chobo: I thought somebody posted the RX-8 version here... Not sure who. But yeah, RX-7 is still a sexy rotary.

Anyway, less talk and more pics ! drool.gif

Last night, I took the opportunity to clean up, fix the rear wings and antennas of the 2 cars received. I thought I'd open up the Gasoline models that I received previously and fix up their rear wings too. I found out that it was a challenging task as these 1/43 scale are very minute and fine. It proves a daunting task for my big fingers and hands and was up the whole night putting glue to afix the rear wings.

It was late so I just captured a few group shots...

Nice choice. The CLK GTR is one of my favourites too. Unfortunately very rare to find. Good ones are either 1/12 or 1/43 scale. Autoart has them in 1/18 but I'm still hunting for them.

Anyway, the smaller box I showed was the #10 Mercedes CLK GTR from 1997 FIA GT. The bigger yellow box contained the #11 car. Wanna see pics of that one? drool.gif

The green box is the #11 CLK-GTR.

hokuan: Nice panning and zooming technique there. Love this one.

myke: Wah ! White BBR come out already. Great shots. Aiyoh, don't put pressure on me lah. You hantu lah. Now that you mention IS-F, I kena raun already. laugh.gif

Actually, I don't reckon paying so much for a 1/43 scale. They are beautiful alright and coming from HPI, they're really gorgeous. I'll try and shoot something from HPI's Mazda 787B but I'm still waiting for that ellusive #55 from HPI. Everywhere is selling sky high prices.

REALCollector: Yeap, money is always the limiting factor. Like I mention to myke, the HPI quality is beautiful but their pricing is like BBR. Problem is also it's new and hot. Nobody wants to sell it cheap.

Well, I also did not know that BBR did the CLK-GTR. Came upon them by chance only on ebay. Yeah, in 1997 they dominated the FIA GT races where the McLaren F1 GTR and Porsche 911 GT1 also raced (incidently my favourite race cars too). There's the blue one from 1998 by privateer team Persson Motorsport is very beautiful and difficult to find while that same year Mercedes AMG team moved on to the newer CLK-LM.

If anybody's interested on the BBR CLK-GTR 1997 #11 in kit form, there's one on ebay;

REALCollector: Wah, poison with R35 !!! BTW, I think Baronzemo's CLK GTR is from the early part of the 1998 FIA GT driven by Klaus Ludwig (D) and Ricardo Zonta (BR) before Mercedes AMG changed their cars (#1 and #2) to the CLK LM from 3rd round in Hockenheim onwards. The 1997 version of the CLK GTR used by team Mercedes AMG were numbered as #10, #11 and #12. While team Mercedes AMG changed to CLK LM in 1998, Team Persson Motorsport continued to use the CLK GTR (with the blue Original Teile / Mobil 1 livery) in cars #11 and #12. Anyway for me, the Original Teile / Mobil 1 livery was the best though.

Jasonist: Yes, those shots are of the 1/43 scale EBBRO GTR R35. Wahlau... Your Hakkinen DTM Merc is lovely and poisonous !

myke: Aiyoh, poison with R8 safety car. Thanks for the shots. They look really good.

Howard: Wah, a real 1:1 F430 ! Nice black R35. BTW, I'm quite surprised that there are so many luxury and exotic cars in Miri. As far as I know, Miri is a small town with small roads...

MasterLaoDa: Welcome onboard. Hope the other masters here can poison you kau kau (Or have you been poisoned already? biggrin.gif ). I think diecasting knows no age. What's important is you need to be very young at heart.

quiksilve: Aiyoh, poison with your gun metal rims R35 some more. cry.gif

Baronzemo: Wah ! My dream car to own ! I mean the Autoart CLK GTR. That's a gem there. Where did you get it? Is the model this with you or have you sold it off already?

royjepun: Great shots of your collection. I can see that you prep your models cars very nicely before taking pics. Very good effort on your part.

LH_430Scuderia: Well, you can get a BBurago Fiat 500 USD 46 including shipping. How much do BBuragos go for locally? Difficult to find?

khsj: Great sharing of your Ferraris. Is the F430 and 599 Elite or normal versions?

Anyway, this one came in yesterday. Strange that it took very long time to arrive compared to the others.

BTW, forgot to mention that I'm planning to get some 1/18 Autoart R35 in different colours. For those interested can PM me.

Base on my calculations, everything including shipping should be about RM 360 or so base on 4 or 5 cars. I would prefer COD in PJ / Damansara area. Transaction only after models arrive as I've not ordered or received the items yet.

Howard: That's correct. biggrin.gif I gave away too much info in that 2nd photo. laugh.gif

Anyway, that's a very nice model that I would recommend. Very nicely built and worth every penny in my opinion. Kyosho Ferraris are very well made indeed.

sterling^moss: Wah, nice nick. Welcome. You're my inspiration ! biggrin.gif

Speaking about Sterling Moss, there a new 1/43 model from Minichamps on the McLaren SLR 722 GT ! drool.gif Planning to get it but freaking expensive at the moment. Can buy a 1/18 car. sad.gif

Anyway, need to find more participants. Anybody else biting? biggrin.gif

chobo: Woow ! The papaya orange McLaren F1 is sweat. Put the R35 beside it, I'll choose the McLaren F1 anyday. biggrin.gif Did you just get it? From UT?

AMG_soh: I think the price of the X6 is mentioned in wei6048866's WTS link.

myke: Poison alert ! Hey, nice R8 there. Really looks good. Perhaps just do like what Jasonist suggested. Plug out the gun metal rims from the safety car and put it on your white R8. laugh.gif

Howard: Thanks for the heads up on the ebay link. Do you find the price at say USD 200 reasonable? Well, I think it's too high for me even if it was without reserve price (stopped at USD 180). Got my LM Spec II (not the carbon version) for very much less. Personally, even after getting it, I don't find that the model is built to suite at the price I paid. A lot of plastic parts used in this model and the model feels very light. I find cars like the Kyosho Ferraris that I just got (F40 LW, 250 GTO, 575 GTC) are much better built for much less money. Really worth the price paid. I personally think that Autoart purposely over inflate the prices of some models artificially.

Anyway, if you look at his other ebay listings, I think the prices his stuff quite high. There's some nice UT McLaren GTRs but the price pengsan.

Just realised that Photobucket compresses my uploaded photos because I can see some compression artifacts. I've deleted them and uploaded them at higher quality. Hopefully better this time. Sorry for spamming pics the 2nd time.

subaru22b: Congrats on the haul.

myke: Thanks. Hey, don't worry. White E92 also coming. Then we'll have the same car too ! biggrin.gif

AMG_soh: I think that's the problem with most AA models. Front boot won't stay standing up. Say, how much did you get the Reventon in KL? If it's reasonable, I may also want to get it.

paulieDS1: Welcome and keep sharing your collection. Is your F50 BBurago or HW? Looks like it's been busy racing. biggrin.gif

REALCollector: After page 30, you'll soon find pics of the Norev 1/18 Audi A4 DTM from Timo. laugh.gif

AlexLee277: Nice mods there. Got some more to show?

Howard Tan: Sweat Redbull Z4 there. Don't know when mine will come. rolleyes.gif

The thread is dreadful? Haiya... Some people have to work lah and earn money to fund their hobby. Wish I didn't have to work and still get to buy my toys.

Ok, some small hauls...

This one came last Thursday. Small 1/43 scale. It's a Le Mans car. Clue... The first and only Japanese car manufacturer to have won the Le Mans race.

user posted image

The one at the back came in yesterday from Germany. Also 1/43 scale. It's a famous Ferrari car. The one in black came in today from China. Also 1/43 scale. It's one of my favourite race cars.

MasterLaoDa: Nice haul there.

AMG_soh: Not a bad taste ! But somehow I rather have the CLK DTM AMG. More garang. Should have a black one on the way. biggrin.gif Just waiting for Minichamps to come out with the SL 65 AMG Black series. drool.gif Truly mouth watering.

Baron: Great racing cars you have there. Very nice Corvette (driven by Max Papis, Johnny O'Connell and Ron Fellows) from year 2004 American Le Mans series and Viper GTS-R (driven by Olivier Beretta, Karl Wendlinger and Dominique Dupuy) from year 2000 24 hours Le Mans. Both very hard to find.

Anyway, some stuffs came in today. The big one from US was long overdue. Took almost 1 month to arrive. Usually packages from US via USPS arrive relatively fast. But I almost thought this one was a gonner... The small box on the left is from France and the other one is from Canada. Those small boxes contain 1/43 scale models. One is a Maserati saloon which Maserati made in honor of Maserati winning the 2005 FIA GT championship. The other one is a a McLaren F1 GTR from British GT. One of my favourite race cars.

Wahlau... I guess you're a big Merc nut ! laugh.gif I only like the sports / racing cars of the Mercs. I'm no fan of normal passenger cars. Same for BMW too.

If I'm not wrong, Kyosho only makes the cabriolet version in red and silver. No black.

Anyway, that's what I read that Minichamps is going to do a 1/18 SL65 Black series. drool.gif On some websites, you can even pre-order your unit.

subaru22b: Does your N95 have macro function? If yes, switch to that mode. I notice your shots focus behind the subject instead of the subject itself and that is why the focus is not sharp.. This indicates that you've exceeded the camera's / lens ability to focus closer than it can.

REALCollector: Dreadful? Relak lah bro. I'll take some shots of the McLaren F1 GTRs. Curently too tired and feeling a little lazy. laugh.gif

Wah? You say two items? Let me guess... BBR / Redline F430 GT and a HPI R35? drool.gif

Planning to get the race livery version of the M3 GTR in 1/18 scale. But difficult to find lah. Wah, your next theme is poisonous ! I shall prepare counter attack measures for your onslaught. laugh.gif

Jasonist: Don't worry about not getting the Minichamps. Sure got lobang wan. Yeah, your Melbourne M3 decided to switch masters and come back to KL instead... laugh.gif Well, there'll be one colour coming which would not be the same as yours. cool2.gif Yup, the box contains the 1/43 scale Minichamps 787B box edition. No money to buy the Autoart 1/18. sad.gif

advocado: Try and get non acetone nail polish remover. That should work to remove the decals without hurting the base paint.

MasterLaoDa: The other time I was asking if anybody was interested to get Autoart R35 for RM 360, only hokuan showed interest... rolleyes.gif

khsj: Got it from Ebay. You interested? I'm planning to get the other 2 or 3 more F430 Challenge. Let me know.

Baronzemo: Of course got wiki a bit lah. I'm no walking dictionary unlike our REALCollector bro. biggrin.gif

Currently lazy at the moment. Will try and take some shots when I get the whole F430 Challenge group ! drool.gif

zacktan: Which Elite Enzo are you looking at? Plain red? MS personal car? Red with yellow top ? Blue? Let me know since I'm planning on getting some HW Elites and perhaps we can share out the shipping cost...
