hokuan: You are right on the two variations. At least on the Maisto if I'm not mistaken. Something got to do with having different rims. Anyway, just did some quick external pics of the Carrera GTs last night. No side by side comparo on engine and brake details of the Carrera GT. Hope this is ok?

Just for the record, the Minichamps is one of the heaviest 1/18 models I have. I weight it last night and it's 1kg on the dot. The Maisto is 790 grams which is considered quite heavy for a Maisto. The F40 LW on the other hand is really light weight but well made I must say.

I would think the Autoart is around the same weight or lighter than the Maisto since some of the external body parts are made of plastic. Anyway, I've read that the painting on plastic and on diecast can have different shades even though painted with same colour. These shades apparently can be seen and noticeable on the Autoart model.

jchue73: tamiya f50!!! shocking.gif gosh ur making it difficult for us... juz like finding a needle in the deep ocean! doh.gif btw sweet f40 lightweight... i expect it to be red since the box shows tat... black looks nice too, juz like a stealth machine there... talking bout shades, yes it will... especially u have a white car... the plastic section can turn yellow when time passes by... my corolla rally car suffers this already... sad.gif nice comparison shots of maisto n minichamps carrera gt btw!

hokuan: The sticker is there for kiasu purposes. laugh.gif It came with the car to protect the Carrera GT photoetched tampo.

Yes, on the Minichamps, the spoiler is functional. Just like the Autoart. And as you can see, the Mnichamps (as well as Autoart) has got the roof while Maisto version not.

Subaru: Nice Petter Solberg WRX STi from Subaru WRT... Talking about WRC, finally Miko Hirvonnen able to give Sebastian Loeb run for his money. Now Mikko lead the Driver standing with 3 more rounds to go... hope FORD can keep up the momentum till the last round.. otherwise the WRC is equally boring like F1 yawn.gif , where only one team dominating it...

Myke: You second R8 ? sweat.gif ... In fact the Audi R8 LMS has performed exceptionally well in last round of FIA GT in Spa 24 hr. The R8 make it's debut race by grabbing the overall 3rd place - even faster than other cars e.g. GT-R, Z06, Ford GT that competing in GT1 class.... to find out more pls

Audi Communications Motorsport : Phoenix Racing threw the form books out of the window at another test race with the Audi R8 LMS: Marc Basseng, Marcel Fässler, Alexandros Margaritis and Henri Moser finished a sensational third overall and celebrated a convincing win in the G2 class. In the process, they left every car in the bigger GT2 class behind them and also every sportscar complying with the new GT1 regulations which are valid from 2010. Apart from an unscheduled pit-stop caused by dirty coolers just before the end of the race, the Audi R8 LMS ran completely without problems throughout the 24 hours.

1) Toyota Altezza - AutoArt 1:18 Scale can be found at Graffiti Toys BTS.. White in colour
2) Honda Integra Type-R (DC2) - Saw a few units of these on my trip to Australia. Can be ordered online I guess.
3) Honda Civic Type R (FD2R) - Takara Tomy makes them but in a very small scale.

Thanks for the tip bro....
went and checkout the Tezza in BTS... not in a good condition... various small flaws....
plus it wasn't secured properly by the guys in the shop.... car was like bumping inside the display case as he was trying to take it out to show me....

no utter respect for these delicate pieces of art!!

any other suggestion on where I could get it??

REALCollector: Yes, I've been eyeing on the R8 LMS after seeing a little bit of it on last Top Gear's magazine. Oh, speaking about the Ford GT... drool.gif

BTW, nice 1/43 Ferrari collection there. I will always appreciate Kyosho's 1/43 Ferraris because they feature open bonnets / hoods and priced quite "reasonable".

Poisonous pic on the R8 engine. Anyway, if you want a Z4 race version, you can always get a 1/18 scale. <cabbuutt> biggrin.gif

saru88: Thanks. Yes, the Super Elite was a good deal. Will try and post photos of it later. Perhaps with additional photos for comparisons.

Anyway, I hope that day won't come when I won't be poisoned enough to buy BOTH Kyosho and Autoart R35. I like quite the few colours they offered. If have to buy from both, mati lah. laugh.gif

myke: You're on the roll spotting and making guesses. Perhaps you picked up on my clues. Very good and congrats. biggrin.gif This is why I'm reluctant to give prices for correct guesses. Especially if you have people like you around. Bound to get it correct.

But hey, you did not guess what the 2nd package contained. laugh.gif For only 1 correct, you probably can only get to spend one day with the Tamiya F50, just like MIX fm's Dearly Deported. :lol

Anyway, the Ferrari F50 GT remains but an illusive piece for me. Even transkit also nearly impossible to get and nobody seems to make one. sad.gif

This second pic is in respond to REALCollector's Ferrari spam.

REALCollector: rumours said Kyosho will produce R8 V10.. i bet R8 LMS will be added too since thay make decent Audies.

jchue73: i won?! at least i can spend a day with 1/12 Tamiya F50 laugh.gif .. great Ford GT, always wanted 1 but the price turn me down sad.gif
alright since no join the guessing game, i wanna hit again! a Kyosho Testarossa RED & a 250 GTO Black! this time the F50 is mine rclxm9.gif

Very good guess myke. But you only got the Black 250 GTO correct. biggrin.gif I think I better withdraw or end the contest early. If not mati man... laugh.gif Everybody can guess correctly because Kyosho makes quite a few Ferraris only. laugh.gif

Anyway, the Ford GT is indeed expensive but still got it cheaper than market price. In fact the price I paid is quite close to the Tamiya F50 ! That is why I was quite surprised that Jasonist got his at such a good price indeed. But I guess they were cheaper when it came out and became expensive when they run out of stock everywhere. I would have preferred the Carbon Black version though but it was not the price I was willing to fork out.

Richardfirst, I think they have a few units of the Altezza there. The one in the acryllic case was not the only one.. there is one or two more on the shelves somewhere on the second or third row of shelves as you enter the shop. Another option is to get it online as this model is no longer in the market. I've got one Yellow one which I got abot 8 years back
