Nice place u have there. Neat arrangements! I'm newbie in this as well. But I think 2 front at side table and 1 hanging above LCD is nice arrangements. Now on the hanging part, there is also another suggestion no need to drill holes, get the key chain hanger (those who has adhesives on it) and use the glu gun to glu it to the wall, warning paint may come off if you decide to take it off next time. Not sure about how heavy that thing can handle tho. IMHO try hanging something other than ur sats first around the same weight to test it out just in case. Or perhaps double hanger can tahan more... thumbup.gif

Edit
Blu tack is another options but I dun recommend it. It really depends on the weight to be hang. I usually use blu tack for quick solutions tongue.gif But hey, a suggestion here, you can use both hangar and the blu tack so that the speaker dun shake around if it's too loud, the blu tack just to stick it to the wall thumbup.gif
*
Heh... thankx for da compliment blush.gif

Hm... stick on it instead of making holes ah? Feel it's pretty risky but neway, thankx for ur suggestions wink.gif. Really appreciate it nod.gif. Especially for da middle sat. which I'll put on top of da LCD one... drop nvm, but if hentam my LCD till pecah then... shocking.gif shakehead.gif doh.gif

Perhaps I might opt for some thing like 'hook' to be nailed on the wall. It's yet another option other than drilling (those 'hook' which normally used to hook up shirt or photo frame on da wall laugh.gif). But if drilling + plug + screw a lot more stable than those, I'll start to ask around to borrow a driller tongue.gif

But somehow, my workstation is located next to the living room. That's why ppl will pass by when they head to the kitchen or back of the house. Putting something across the path is not good... that's why I couldn't opt for the stands... and also my uncle's kids might gave me a surprise if they play with it sweat.gif

That's why I been thinking of taking all safety measure before I buy and place the speakers according to my planning sweat.gif. There was once my rig nearly feel off from its place shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif... Nailing to the wall might cause some crack around it... so drilling a hole (which no need that big) wouldn't be a problem... else if next time wanna change location, just buy those 'wall plaster' (dunno what it called sweat.gif) to 'fix' back the hole tongue.gif

Well then, now I'm waiting for my first advance salary of this month before travelling back to my hometown and then secure myself a set of R501 MKII tongue.gif... Hopefully it's enough sweat.gif

P/S: Any specific shop to recommend for it? As far as I know, the Edifier Showroom at 4th floor, MyPC and C-zone selling it wink.gif

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Nov 4 2005, 10:50 AM)
Yo everyone here,

I'm planning to get myself a set of 5.1 speakers. My current crappy Altec Lansing AHS502 gonna be thrown away very soon. I already had enough of it vmad.gif... wahaha laugh.gif

I had checked around and surveyed around, most ppl seem bearing the tag "R501 MKII for SURE!" on their forehead tongue.gif. For my budget which is around RM400, I feel this R501 MKII definitely suit my choice, but well.. another fren of mine said Logitech X530 is way better than R501 MKII. Just wanna ask if anyone compared between both or perhaps go other suggestion? wink.gif
*
R501 MKII is a good choice..i doubt logitech X530 can win over MKII

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Nov 4 2005, 01:19 PM)
Yupz.. I had been to Low Yat on Monday to test out the speakers and that guy turn on the 'Fast and Furious' for me tongue.gif

Well, I feel there's something 'less' in this set of speakers.. perhaps it's the 'clarity'.. hm, guess I asked too much from a RM400 5.1 speakers? laugh.gif
*
for a sub RM400 5.1 system..it's veli good oledi..n i m satisfy wit the clearity
