to drill a hole in the wall to hang the speaker lah laugh.gif
*
I thought only hammer da nails to the wall and it will do as a 'hook' for the speakers? unsure.gif

Neway, if do it in such way, best possible only can hang it 90 degree straight, rite? How to direct them toward the listener if to hang higher? unsure.gif

haha screw or nail, same la tongue.gif

hammer + nail

or

drill + screw

but for wall, recommend use drill and screw as safer and more secure
drill a hole, plug in those screw plugs and screw into it smile.gif

edit : then hang the speaker on the screw as you would hang on the nail

Hm... then I would need to look around for a drill... anyway, a drilled hole + screw plug and then insert da screw will be much strengthen than straight away nail toward it? unsure.gif

Hm... I would like to if to use the stand, but then it's troublesome for my situation... so preferable to hang the 2 sats behind with the wires going along the wall and ceiling sweat.gif *too long? I think bout 3~4 metres long*

i managed a glimpse-test of these speakers. retail price shud be RM199. and they gave me quite a good impression but i wont dwell into detail because i did not have a proper listening chance. tho, what i could say is that its pretty musical. bass wise, its there, but might be lacking for those that are too used with subs smile.gif.

Edifier R501 MKII... hm... wondering if I could hav enough money to secure myself a set in 2 weeks time happy.gif

For me, when Edifier started to penetrate into the market... I felt it's good and priced reasonably affordable nod.gif *which I tested the sound myself*... but then there's just some people that dislike Edifier... stating that it's cheapo China stuff sweat.gif

After drilling the holes on the walls, try use some tightener (made of wood or something, not sure what it's called, inserted into the holes) so that when u screw it on the wall it would be tighter. U sure dun wan later when u syok syok listen... well u know tongue.gif. Good luck vearn27, I was eyeing on R501 MKII but I have too many cables so I got the M3300. Should be arriving next week thumbup.gif Btw, cleaning my ear holes first so can listen clearly drool.gif tongue.gif

Hm..., it still will make holes on the wall (which is bad when u change location sweat.gif)... wondering whether I wanna hang it or not... but base on my current workstation location, there's no other option other than hang it if I wanna place the rear sat behind. Buying the stand will just disturb the path way... and costly summore sad.gif... with my uncle's kids around... dun even dare to think wat surprise will happen sweat.gif

Neway, here is my workstation:

P/S: I'm new and really weak in this kind of thingy... any tips, guide and suggestion will be appreaciated notworthy.gif

Hm... I think I can rearrange a bit to place the 2 front sat. at the edge of the corner of the table. Shouldn't be a problem but wondering where I can place my front sat. sweat.gif

Nothing can be done for the rear already. Decided to hang it up on the wall. But the level is to be taken into consideration since it's better at ear level, rite? wink.gif... Perhaps I'll need to hang them higher and then point them toward the listener nod.gif... Just as I think, I'll rearrange my desk a bit and put the 2 front sat. at the edge of da table and then hang up the middle sat on top of my LCD...

Nice place u have there. Neat arrangements! I'm newbie in this as well. But I think 2 front at side table and 1 hanging above LCD is nice arrangements. Now on the hanging part, there is also another suggestion no need to drill holes, get the key chain hanger (those who has adhesives on it) and use the glu gun to glu it to the wall, warning paint may come off if you decide to take it off next time. Not sure about how heavy that thing can handle tho. IMHO try hanging something other than ur sats first around the same weight to test it out just in case. Or perhaps double hanger can tahan more... thumbup.gif

Edit
Blu tack is another options but I dun recommend it. It really depends on the weight to be hang. I usually use blu tack for quick solutions tongue.gif But hey, a suggestion here, you can use both hangar and the blu tack so that the speaker dun shake around if it's too loud, the blu tack just to stick it to the wall thumbup.gif
