Have you tried the high protein/fat diet? It's seem to be working for a lot of my Indian friends. You know how Indians, have this problem with fat? (and havin no calves, poor genetics) I tried it with my Indian friends, and they did lose a lot of fat. They had a hard time adapting though, because their diets are usually full of rice. Weekends, they gorge themselves with rice and still managed to lose the fat.

Height's 176 i think.....somewhere there la.

Yeah, training someone new is really time consuming and you'll lose focus. A 1 hour training session can turn into a 2 hour session because you are spending half of the time talking to the newb.

Thats why I maintain a "I train first, you come later"

How many of them have arms this size?

It's not possible without plenty of steroids and genetics and crapload of hard work.

that's the fair comments that i have heard so far.  Again from a reading of your article, i note that drinking bears will not cause so much problems, as what i previously thought.  Just have to be patience as you mentioned.

Mind telling more in details, before you had 6 packs, how long did it take you to get a define 6 packs (skinny time) and then transformed to current a perfect body.  So perhaps from there, we will be able to gather some information as regards time.

I started gym last Dec, it was not consistent till recently, May.  I left lost some 5 kg, from 73 to now 68kg.  Yet my muscle isnt define.  Will have to loose more body fat.

If i loose body fat, does that means my weight will reduce too?

thanks  flex.gif

Stop kidding yourself lah.
WE're one of the most arrogant bunch of gym rats in Malaysia yet half of us won't even make it pass stage 1 of a bodybuilding contest. We're essentially the true definition of elitist gym rats. No wonder we're still skrawny fucts that still worship a 200LBS bodybuilder

I'm serious. We're really a bunch of assholes and some of us bring this attitude from our daily personalities. I know for a fact, I bring this personality to the internet because I'm a moderator of a forum with people that don't know how to look for their own information. My own cousin's like that, but because he's family, I just hold it up. He still thinks that the guys in the gym that take Weider and bench press 100KG is always right

Personally, I'm not sure if it's the way I answer in this forum, that makes people think this IS the way you ought to behave in an online Malaysian forum. But if it is, you guys are sorely wrong. I'm just behaving this way because I'm constantly pissed off cuz my CRT releases fuccking mercury and I'm at a risk of dying anytime (just like you fools) and I'm a straight up dude

And the Best Moderator Award goes to....no one. The worst member of HNF Award goes to....no one.

I can't blame newbies for asking, after all this is a forum. Some people just don't know where to start. Its up to people who know their stuff to either help these poor souls or just let them rot and get gangrene all over their testicles. BUT starting threads like "I want to get thin, can anyone tell me how" is a big NO, that just shows your ignorance. Let's all work ourselves towards a change. Let's start helping people who deserve help and also help people who don't know the proper way to ask help and lets make this a better place or in this case a better section of Lowyat.net to surf in. If no one wants to do it and everyone wants to keep their "vast" of knowledge with them, we might as well PM the higher-ups of the forum and shut this pathetically half dead spam paradise section of the forum.

Let's all keep passing the baton and who knows we might just produce some good powerlifters, olympic lifters or even credible bodybuilders from this pool of noobs.
I can't believe I said all this.... cool2.gif

Go do some study.

CRT releases less mercury at room temperature than LCD's. That's why people who work in confined small areas with air conditioning sometimes find their tongue having a peculiar taste. The best part is, it's odorless and colorless, and extremely toxic AND it has accumulative effects. Have fun!

PS: I use both an LCD and a CRT.

Now I rmbr why my triceps were unusually large back in the days when I did powerlifting. I benched like this, with about 90LBS less weight tongue.gif

Shoulder preservation and maximal tricep recruitment. Yeh!

I've a suggestion. Why not post a picture after 2 months. I think 1 month is way too short a time to see any difference.

is it true powerlifting is a dying sport?
i really think the white guy's view on bodybuilding is purely biased tapi my personal opinion je

The problem with powerlifting, is it's a sport that requires you to first look past physical attractions and work to focus on strength and weaknesses. That's one of the biggest and toughest problems, because most guys have egos the size of one of the craters on Venus. The problem becomes exacerbated because of tempo/spandex fitness clubs where the attention is on the guy that looks gayest and has the biggest bicep and chest and everybodys interested in getting big, fast and easy.

Yet powerlifting is a tough arduous sport which requires analysis, technique, strength, a level of athleticism, patience, nutrition, money, and strength. Then there's another huge issue, which is the two schools of thought. Raw and equipped. Raw lifters think that equipped lifters are cheaters that try to limit ROM, and equipped lifters think that they're doing a good job as well in getting strong.

So internally itself, there's a ton of conflict. What more externally?

Weightlifting has one small advantage. It's way more popular because of history and the Olympics. Powerlifting, say that to 10 guys in the street, 8 will say "HAH?" 1 will mistake that for weightlifting and if you're lucky, the last guy will know that it involves deadlifting.

You have a low bar rack position, which is why you tend to tilt forward a bit. As the bar position is lower on your back, you CAN go forward more and use your posterior chain better. Your squat form, emphasizes the glutes and lower back more than it does on the quads. It also enables you to use more weight, compared to a high bar back squat.

Now, should you use it? Yes. The only issue with your form, that I think you can fix is your inability to time your upward drive. You drive, but you cut your drive short, midway and then strain it up again. How do you fix that? Experience.

Now I'm also going to say something against the grain. Tilt your chest DOWN and tilt your HEAD DOWN. To understand why I said that, first stand in a 1/4 squat position with your chest and head up. Now JUMP! Ok? Now tilt your head and chest down. Now jump. Which one gives you more power? But keep your back taut and straight.

And when you have a low bar position, and you still tilt your head up, you tend to have problems putting the bar in the correct position.
