as long as it's able to play the current games, and those released about a year ago or so. nevermind the resolution and quality.

sure can play, it's juz a matter of how laggy only... laugh.gif

but for 4k 3D Mark 06 as a value GPU, it does manage to dish out pretty good performance... at the very least, L4D max settings is not a problem for it...

Eh, title + setting + screenshots... Wrong format? OK I check again~ sorry lol~
(I updated my 3DMark score on the OLD post on page 45, not in page 47...)

THe main problem with my UL80VT is because it is an ULV laptop, so I mainly suffer from the CPU score that really stretch the overall score alot lower... duh~

The HD5000 mobile series should be introduced in the first quarter of 2010. As for when OEMs would implement it in their notebooks is another matter altogether.
Source: Fudzilla.

There isn't any word on the mobile GT300 yet, but if I had to hazard a guess I'd say it'll be out in Q2/2010 at the earliest. The reasoning behind this is that nVidia has yet to even showcase their next gen desktop series GPUs.

But when you take into consideration most notebook OEMs do a refresh around late summer/early autumn, both the GT300 and HD5000 could appear in notebooks simultaneously. Just a guesstimate.

HD5000 has been postponed to Q1 2010 due to the difficulty of making 40nm chips by TSMC...

iirc TSMC's 40nm production line can only function at 40% efficiency... even desktop HD5000 is affected now...

which mean HD5000 can actually perform more than it performing now?

Not really. What he meant is that the fabrication plant for 40nm GPU wafers has a very poor yield. No wafers means no GPU.

Yeah that. TSMC is the one of the fabrication outfits that ATI/AMD rely on for their GPU wafers. Since they have such a low yield, ATI is currently facing a huge wafer shortage and thus even desktop GPUs are hard to come by. Maybe not in Malaysia, but in the States, the shortage is painfully apparent.
