is that possible? it sound like better change a new laptop to me. the price for those process must be real expensive. sweat.gif

and by the way, i7 is not for gaming. you can refer to i7 thread for further info from Astria.

same like yours too, Nvidia System Tools. smile.gif

ok...restarting pc n preparing to benchmark it. thrs only 1 way to find out. to test the i7 itself. trying stuff makes me satisfied. lol

is really 4870x2 is better than GTX280 SLi? because based on gaming FPS from notebookcheck, they stated that 280SLi is better blink.gif

The only prior laptop sporting XFired 4870s is the now discontinued Asus W90p. As far as I know, all the models shipped with GDDR3 versions of that card and hence no benchmarks on notebookcheck.net will accurately reflect the 4870x2 in the Alienware. If memory serves me right, then the m17x is the first laptop in the world to offer the 4870x2 in GDDR5 flavor.

well, for HD4870, iirc GDDR3 or GDDR5 doesn't make much difference... the clock of the core itself is downclocked so much compared to the desktop version...

Haha, kinda expected it. The clocks were too low for the memory to make much of a difference. Anyone tried overclocking core + shader?
