Just download 3dmark06, run it, then run CPU-Z and GPU-Z alongside it.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Bro, I think there's something wrong with your reading. P8600 should give the same or superior performance to my T8300. Sure you weren't running on power saver mode or anything like that? 900 for your CPU score is too low, it should be approximately 2k. And also, if possible you should try to use FRAPS to get framerates if you want to benchmark games. Otherwise it's subjective opinion. Some people are happy with 30FPS. Others demand 60. Only numbers don't lie. And also, OEM drivers tend to be released very slowly. Try other sources for drivers, such as official ATI drivers. edit: Damn my slow typing. Try to disable Intel SpeedStep. @blackmarket: Any chance your screen doesn't support that resolution?
@zorbyss: Make sure your lappy isn't on power saving mode, keep it plugged in, turn of Intel SpeedStep if you can. Otherwise you can use RMClock to do it, Google up a guide. It isn't too tough. This post has been edited by PhantomThief: Jul 27 2009, 10:22 PM |

QUOTE(kirakun @ Jul 27 2009, 09:47 PM) Here's mine, my humble lappie...^^... Bro, why 32-bit OS la? That's a monster of a lappy. With 2GB in VRAM, how much memory can your lappy access? 2 from RAM, 2 from VRAM?Sager D901C aka np9262 | Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 3.33 GHz | 2x 2GB | Nvidia GeForce 9800M GTX SLI 1GB DDR3x2 | 179.28 | Vista Ultimate x32 SP2 | 1280x1024 |

QUOTE(kirakun @ Jul 27 2009, 09:59 PM) Well i was worried that vista ultimate 64 bit will have multiple compatibility issues with current games so decided to stick to 32bit for now. Ahh, I see. The E8600 isn't a desktop cpu-alike, it IS a desktop CPU xD. With that and 9800m GTX in SLI, that must suck 4 times my power. I'd hate to see the size of your power brick As for ram usage, currently at idle uses 50%, playing game wise ram usage varies according to what game i'm playing. Basically the more graphic inducing games, the higher the usage of ram but then only 3GB are useable through 32 bit os. Added on July 28, 2009, 12:32 am Well what u do expect? as it is a desktop cpu alike QUOTE(astria @ Jul 27 2009, 10:03 PM) RAM, for sure 3GB usable... I learn new things everyday but for VRAM, it's still 1GB usable even though it's SLI, since the 2 cards render alternate frames... |

I use nvidia's nTune. ATI tool is actually better cause it lets you test for artifacts in real time. Don't worry la, just go in small steps if you're afraid. Worse case scenario you have to reboot your laptop. Yes, using a cooler. But a lousy one.
OC whose card? My card OC-ed is around 10k. Another user here with a HD4650 OC-ed to 8k. Nothing special and nothing horrible about Quanta. They're just another motherboard manufacturer, but for mobiles. |

Question, people with 9600m GTs. Hows your performance in NFS: Shift?

Haha, kinda expected it. The clocks were too low for the memory to make much of a difference. Anyone tried overclocking core + shader?
