HD5470, 64-bit memory controller...

i dun think the memory controller can fill up the RAM fast enough... sweat.gif

more over, with so little SP, u can't switch on all the effects when playing games... less effect = less memory needed...

sweat.gif Shared memory with system RAM I think sweat.gif

But the amount of VRAM is like... the typical selling point for all salesmen when they try to sell some graphic cards. And the thing is... people think that more is better sometimes.

u really ve to look at the spec of the GPU... u can't compare against each other from the numbers only...

for eg, Mobility Radeon HD5870's desktop equivalent is Radeon HD5770... 800SP, 128-bit, GDDR5... but do take note the mobile GPU are always clocked lower compared to the desktop ones...

another eg, GeForce GTX 285M, equivalent is GeForce 9800GTX+ or GeForce GTS 250...
