Anyways, it doesn't matter. I was looking at the same line with the 5145 and the 4570. I'm just curious on the gaming performance between the 5450 with those 2. The 5450 is still capable of being OCed to the level of a 5470 isn't it?

Added on April 29, 2010, 3:11 pm5145 is a rebadged HD4570, so the spec is exactly the same Including the fabrication etc. both have almost the same performance, only slight improvements for HD5450.

better, but just a really little margin. so next time, if yo saw some laptop you fancy, but cannot make your mind, coz got two models, one is using the 5145(or 4570) and the other one is using 5450, you can safely choose the one with higher processor. if both have the same proc, you can choose the one with better price point.

For a laptop, my rough budget is around 2.8 - 2.9k. Since there's a coupon for it, I'm really keen on the Studio 15. Really Love the design and built of it. Am still thinking about the Inspiron 15R, for me it's more convenient getting it with CC service and online payment just like Dell.

My friend has an older Studio 15.. I don't think the cooling system is good.. Even only an Intel GMA its kinda warm on idle and websurfing..

But GT 320 doesn't have drivers yet doesn't it? Alternately this is actually a better deal, the price per performance. The i5 520, 500GB HDD. Will consider, but somehow I could only afford a laptop at a monthly payment of 240, you see.. I'm still a secondary student and I'll be using my allowance for that . And the new Inspiron 15R uses the 5470 not the 5450.

Then you shouldnt get a laptop until u go to college or university.. That's the right time to purchase a notebook.. save up the $$ buddy.. and get urself something nice when u enter college/university..

Since u have such a nice rig there already

Then wait next year.. with the $$ u collected surely get something nice at that time ..

not only save more money. Laptops keep getting refreshed frequently. So wait for better specs. And yes. Studio 15 is not worth that price.

anyway, all i can say abt HD5145 is that dun expect too much for those 2 games... not more than medium settings...

i wondering how many laptop out there are running on ati mobility 5470 1gb ram.....as far as i know asus a42jr and a52jr got but they're phased out...
