QUOTE(soulquarianz @ Nov 5 2009, 08:44 AM) i saw external bufalo 1tb selling 330 but using USB port...i wonder if this usable with POHD....... Shouldn't be a problem. But those want to use the external enclose, think twice because yr hdd will increase and keeping these hdd( with the adapter) going face problem. Use internal hdd and future can upgrade to NAS. Trust me, I oledi has more then 10 hdd but easily keep in the hard disk foam packing. Use docking to watch movies.

I think bro ar will be the better man to explain. He is more technical than me since he is always "near the engine" for being an engineer But what OS are you using? Is your hdd dock powered or draws power from mobo's USB port?

Do note that XP's USB port power management sux or as what bro azbro said
