my screamyx not only had this extreme slowdown issue.... i found that every night after 12a.m... my modem's DSL light sure will blink blink blink and connection keep disconnect and reconnect..... this problem i think almost a week already.... and hell yah...while posting tis reply...the DSL light blink again....

call 100 to file a report (though sometimes its kinda useless)...

*haiz~~ today line seems like snail one...even direct download so slow one, BT is super slow...haiz~~...(i not a extreme BT guy, just open to download some software but stuck at 5kbps )

WTF... i cant even stream local radio station smoothly ...

I gave up on Screamyx few months ago.. This country is sad...

my 3rd day cant connect to streamyx, i've call service center 3 time, all they ask me to do, wait for technician, bloody hell technician, came to my house still cant settle the problem... now still waiting for technician...

my UL is 2x my DL speed.. been experiencing this for the past few days.

my usual speedtest would be 1.2DL and 0.4-5UL..

i stay at SS19 subang jaya...anybody around my area experiencing this?
or is it my problem?

yeah, the thing is when i game it doesnt lag but it bugs me to know that my speed is throttled to 1/3 of what it used to be..

INTERNET SERVICES DISRUPTION

Dear Valued Customers,

Referring to our earlier statement on 21 July 2009 on the disruption of our Internet services due to circuit faults on the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) Segment 1 between Kuantan and Katong, Singapore, Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to announce that there is a delay in the restoration of Internet services due to technical problems at the repairing stages.

In addition, our consortium members have also detected another fault on the same circuit about 372km from Kuantan Cable Station.

Customers using Internet services may continue to experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the US and Hong Kong. In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the US and Hong Kong may still experience some service degradation. To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been directed to alternate routes to ease the congestion.

Restoration works on the affected cables are already in progress. However, in the restoration process, traffic to Northern America and Hong Kong may experience degradation while traffic to other countries is not affected.

Due to this, full recovery of Internet services is now expected to be on 16 August 2009. TM will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works.

TM wishes to assure its customers that it is undertaking all necessary measures to restore communications services for its customers as soon as possible.

Call tech support and that fler will tell you modem problem... i have this problem every week.. dsl link blink, then come back, then blink again...

mine is having a sudden BOOST.... torrent max <79KB/s for about 5min or so...then i went to around 30KB+ having 50KB as it's LIMIT
