i didn't do well on htt oc usin 790gx a3+, that was d main reason why i sold off my x4 810. was kinda surprised coz i got no problem hittin 27x prime stable on 790gxe 128m, so i expect a 'lil more from ddr3 flavored board. could be d ram holdin d chip back coz my kvr ddr3 really sucks (even w/ lower ram divider), htt top up at 26x not really prime stable for long hours...

dfi 790fxb-m2rsh managed to run unlocked cores @ prime stable (large fft)....

omg...i feel like switchin back to ddr2....

put a pair of ocz blade + 0922 apmw/cpmw, d board gonna be one of d best around...

sis verdict, u still have any fxb to trade...

nice job there bro, 3.6GHz @ what kinda vcore? if can keep below 1.35v then it's seriously good enuf ledi...

790gx a3+ not gud enuf? u gotta be kiddin me... i know it's not d best like ch3 or gd70 or ud5 but it is d best in its price range.

u have gud pair of ram + an apmw too, make use of 'em.

my practice is always do thorough scan after a few improper shutdown, it helps to prolong d life of oc'ed windows...

but sis, these 2 not workin w/ raid 0 i think...

i'd say heat is d main issue... do ya part in coolin 1st (not only cpu, others like pwm & nb too need to take into consideration), d rest is up to how gud is ya components & knowledge in tweakin are. heat is always d no. 1 enemy for mid range - high oc imo apart from those mentioned.

yup, ss + siggy is d basic info which we can relate to d problem. that's why it's so important to include as much as info if possible. those programs like memset, hw monitor, aod, cpu-z & etc don't really take much of hdd space imo, but some are reluctant to have them installed while expectin full support...

we're not obliged to answer ALL of their questions, sometimes answer to d question can be easily obtained by doin more trial & error.

well, not everybody here who know more than a thing or two is as patient as sir antonio. instead of keep on repeatin d rants like "why nobody answer my questions" etc why not spend some time readin d guides/links given? if one need to know more bout oc, that person should put in some initiatives instead of expectin to be spoon fed rite? i believe even expert like antonio and others started from zero as well. bottom line is, one must have some basic knowledge bout anything they want to do before proceed to d next level. for eg knowin how to operate a car doesn't necessarily mean d person is safe to drive a car on d road, let alone speedin.

RM3xx for a pair of 4GB DDR3 1333 kit doesn't look cheap, iirc bro powerslide bought his gskill trident @ RM3xx too. i believe d trident is rated @ higher bandwidth.

bro, mind to push ya chip a 'lil bit more like at least 3.9GHz benchable? u got a great board there in dfi, if coupled w/ a high end air coolin like true, i'm pretty sure that's doable. i'm longin for dfi board but my cfo wallet doesn't agree.

lower tdp is always welcome, less watt means less heat leadin to cheaper coolin solution, thus, save money.

one vote for 790gxe 128m bro... decent board i must say & worth every penny spent on it. mite not be d cheapest thou but definitely d best among those value boards...

small fft = stress cpu only
blend = stress almost everything from cpu to ram to imc

that's why small fft is easier to pass.


btw, deneb sure likes low ambient temp, b4 air cond on, prime w/ 1.296v gives bsod within seconds, but after air cond on (prime ran after 5~10mins), voila....
