i dun use custom mappings.
my button mappings are exactly like shuff said. which is the standard arcade mappings.
the fighting system is designed with the arcade standard mappings in mind. so it's best with those default ones.
my 4 and 8 has no function.

and you cant mass manage your inbox. you can either manage them 1 by 1 in xbox live site.
or you can do it in game GFWL.

HRAP 3. you can go wrong with that as your first ever stick. unless you have enough case for Madcatz TE.

if you know nothing about sticks.
you should just get a HRAP 3.
We just saw that stick yesterday, the organiser, Alan, was using it.
but honestly i think modding that stick will take quite some skill. and i dun think it's worth the effort coz the fundamentals are not good.
the casing itself is too light. and there arent enough space to fit in standard sanwa stick and buttons.
it's gonna take a fair bit of experience and skills to mod your stick.


a focus attack is when you hold down mp+mk, and release it any time.

when you are doing any move, normal or special, you can cancel those moves by pressing down mp+mk, which will bring you into a focus attack charge, release it and it will release a focus attack.
it will consume 2 bars to cancel from normal and specials.
that's a ex focus attack.

that's focus attack dash cancel.
he needed to do ex focus attack.

My game lags massively with Steam.

As opposed to occassional lag without it.

Is the PS3 one using GFWL for online play?

Sounds quite impossible that Microsoft would let them do it.

GFWL is only meant for pc and xbox360
ps3 players play on a different network

those who have madcatz te (or other fightstick for that matter), how u guys carry it around? i mean when u go to tourny or maybe sparring at friend's home? do u guys have good bag with good padding? really afraid if somebody sit on it when it is in the bag & put it down on the floor/sofa.

We got a free bag during the SFIV tournament a few months back.

I use that bag.

In my case, my TE stick don't work with SF4 PC because it uses 1.1 USB. It won't work with 2.0. And I'm using the PS3 one too.

if it were the Xbox 360 version, you can just download a driver and ur done. But for PS3 guys, get a PCI USB 1.1. huhu.
