@Icehart,
Maxis doesn't see it that way; it may be seen as a downgrade in plans. I been told previously it is possible to move plans but there's a higher possibility if you're upgrading and not downgrading the plans. Also, it will definitely involve some kind of fees but a waiver can be requested.

No harm for U to give it a try.

If it's not too troublesome might as well just get the principal holder to sign the iPhone plan for U esp if you're currently enjoying free calls and SMS between principal + supplementary line. Once you give up the plan, u will no longer continue to enjoy the benefits.

@dinozilla,
It's prorated from the date your plan starts right up to your bill cycle. Hence, assuming you have 10 days left before your next bill cycle, your 500MB data will be 500MB/30 days x 10 days. Maxis doesn't care how much of data you use within the period as long as it's within the pro-rated 500MB usage.

@fx2800,
Y don't U try to streamline all into 1 plan? That way, it's easier to manage and you probably save some sort of $. The only bad thing is that you may need to change numbers to do that.

If you don't intend to use your iPhone as an iPhone, u should have just bought an iPod Touch tongue.gif

@Sevenfold,
Your only option is to wait for Maxis to open up prepaid / Hotlink purchases then u can buy it without a stipulated contract period and use the iPhone with your DiGi.

If ur g/f is in the country then ask her to sign up for the iPhone under her name and let her use the number. U just use the phone smile.gif

No the 333 minutes are only applicable for local calls.

@Kenny_Yong_9,
Stock levels are still low. On the average, people are waiting 4-6 weeks for their i3GS. Some lucky ones get it within 2 weeks but that's rare.

@eyez98,
It's going to be difficult for U to dispose off the phone + the plan together cause the plan is tied to your name and your phone number. You probably can try to dispose off the i3GS though and live with the 24 month contract you signed up with.

@benjm25,
I've not heard of such promotion plan from Maxis before. Don't think it's still valid though.

@muscaa,
The RM80 will still be on shared usage. The RM50 for data will only be applicable to the line you're signing it up with; it's considered an add-on plan. Yes that will also qualify you to purchase an i3GS.

@InfErnaL~,
If you're oredi on the Family Plus package and are currently enjoying free calls, I believe Maxis has now extended its Family Plus package across the board. I think best to double check with the T&C on Maxis website.

@u.f.o,
There are pros and cons to the iPhone depending on what you seek.

@tnsai,
Yes you're absolutely right - somehow Maxis CS doesn't seem to know what they're doing hence it's important to always double check vital information smile.gif

@InfErnaL~,
Let us know what the outcome is after u've checked. IIMN a forummer has checked previously and the answer was YES, with this newly introduced iPhone plan. The earlier plans (which was tagged onto the i3G and the i3GS when it was first introduced wouldn't allow U to make free calls cause they were seen as 2 separate call plans).

@Jty,
When U collect ur iPhone you're supposed to sign a proper contract with Maxis; did U sign on that? Also, that's when ur phone plan will start to be activated. Am not sure what happened on ur side; maybe go back to the shop where U got ur phone activated.

@tssoo,
Ask urself if u really want to sign on a 24 month contract. 12 month is probably ok but 24 months? I personally find that a lil too long.

@yujin86,
tssoo is referring to the corporate plans, not the consumer plans.

@nokia2003,
Let's hope the shape won't change so the cases you spent a lot of $ on can still be used tongue.gif

@cafuheva,
There are a total of only 6 plans. Do a quick calculation on ur own and u'll find the answer.

@Digital_Life,
Yes U can probably choose to pay for the data service from your available credit but 500MB p/month is really sufficient [just don't start downloading stuff using ur iPhone]

@Digital_Life,
If U wanna do heavy downloading, use a proper internet connection + a computer, not ur phone smile.gif

@yujin86,
It's best if U got the information from the bank direct.

@jssl,
I don't think it'll happen anytime soon sad.gif

@afiqkhairi,
You onli get the free 500MB on the line the iPhone is registered to upon purchase.

The minimum commitment fee for ValuePlus 80 is $80 not $30.

@wen9x88,
It's a willing buyer willing seller market. When demand exceeds supply prices increase. That's basic economics at work here.

@acid_head,
I really don't understand your question.

@selinix,
If U managed to get ur i3GS via the outright purchase way u should get the 500MB data free. What's surprising is that U actually managed to get a unit purchased via this manner.
