Manchester United Planning Swoop For Barcelona's Toure - Report Toure Yaya may have just signed a new deal at Camp Nou, but that has not stopped him being linked with a move away... QUOTE Manchester United are weighing up a move for Toure Yaya, but they may not be able to prise him away from Barcelona until January, as he has only just penned a new deal with the club. The Red Devils believe that the Ivory Coast international would provide the perfect cover for Owen Hargreaves and value the Blaugrana star at £25 million (€29.5m), according to The Mirror. Having had the player watched last season, United were hopeful that Barca's move for Liverpool's Javier Mascherano would be successful and would leave Toure with a decision to make. But instead, Barcelona have not made an official move for the Argentinian and have now persuaded Toure to pen a new deal to ward off any interested parties. While the new contract may mean that he will not be leaving this summer, United could return in the winter transfer window if Barca do add to their midfield before August 30. Toure's agent did state, in recent weeks, that his client had to feel appreciated, as well as well-paid at Barcelona, and that if both were not forthcoming, then he could leave. hrm.... |

I would not be surprise if we did not sign any big star this season. The fact that we sold Ronaldo for 80M doesn't help us much as we think it would, instead every agent on this planet try linking their player to us to jack up the price.

QUOTE(O-haiyo @ Jun 28 2009, 10:14 AM) Wan, I can't remember when but I think at certain period of last season Fergie grew tired of Ronald not tracking back. That's why he played Ronaldo upfront and Rooney on the wing. Of course he has played Rooney on the wing prior to that, but I think there was a game where we concede a goal because Ronaldo lost the ball and did not track back, and that was the reason Fergie stick to his decision playing Rooney on the wing. I can't remember which game though. For most of the last 2-3 seasons, Ronaldo have been playing in a sort of free role, only defending when needed. Rooney plays on the wings because we have better strikers than wingers. Only Ronaldo and Park could be relied on last season, and Park needed time off/was off form and we needed someone who can be dangerous and consistent there in his place.QUOTE(nanamiwashio @ Jun 28 2009, 01:05 PM) this is the reason why peoples hate MU fans...it's simply because they're denying fact & thinks that they all grow up beside of Manchester Hospital! Ronaldo might have dived a lot in the past, but these days, he only went down when someone touched him. Whether that's a foul/dive is open to interpretation.dude chill lah..this is opinion onli..why get angry?? of course i didnot watch much of MU games because i'm not MU fans.. but a diver is a diver laa...u can talk shiiaatt "he's not a diver bla bla bla" but i bet i can give u atleast 10 youtube videos of him diving like a sissy to get freekicks /penalties. nah a simple examples i can give you : http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer...arch_type=&aq=f so many different videos there.. now try at youtube... type "messi dive" that's the difference!! i'm chelsea fans & i admit..drogba is one of the worst diver..not talking cock denying facts "we dont need to win in a disgrace way..." wateva for tevez part...it's like what i said previously... rooney & tevez are the best 'turbo engine' for MU last season. and the simple reasons why fans love tevez more than berbatov is because he's a very productive hardworking man...it suits MU style...MU plays a very-fast attacking football ...so they need players like rooney-tevez-anderson who can round all the way in the pitch to get the ball.. this is MU ..not barca la weei...MU donot play free-flowing football..Berba needs to get down to work starting new season.not just wait for the ball...remember RVN?? of course we all know he's the kind of player who scores in the penalty box only...but look...where's he when defending?? when dead ball situation?? i remember one goal at OT where ruud runs from the middle pitch, dribble the ball and scores. now i guess, u shud watch MU games more than me because u dont even know how ur team playing styles!! well back to topic, Berba shud really proves his value or otherwise he's the next united flop. p/s: i dont get here to provoke anyone..but chill lah. jangan semangat gila macam awak tu orang manchester! stadium pun pergi skali dalam seumur hidup dah bangga macam orang gila..awak tu orang malaysia ooii Added on June 28, 2009, 1:09 pm not forget to mention that berba only joins MU at the very last day of first transfer window.. & the facts that he do not joins pre-season also might be the reason why he cant follow the styles of MU.that's why i said, we shud give him another season MU not free flowing? Where the hell have you been? Sure we might not pass it around as classy as the likes of Barca/Arsenal, but we're just as good in that department. As for the Tevez and running issue, people are blinded by these 'running around' stuff. Sure they help the team a lot, but as we see with Ronaldo it doesn't always have to be that way, especially for attackers. Ronaldo can conserve his energy and focus it on attacking. He doesn't track back that much, and it's more of an order I bet, if not sure as hell SAF would be screaming at Ronaldo every match. Attackers don't need to defend as much, their job is to attack. It would be a bonus if they do it, which Tevez and Rooney does, but it's not a requirement, especially for strikers. What's the difference if we've been there or not. Do you realize we live far away from that place? But what's that got to do anything with our support/how we feel for the club? QUOTE(limshenghong @ Jun 28 2009, 01:50 PM) nanamiwashio, Its Exactly What I Meant... We also had Scholes, Anderson, Nani, Ronaldo off form throughout whole of last season. That's a lot of attacking players who was off form at the same time. Take away the goals, and Ronaldo contribution would be pretty average for a world class player. I would say Berba have been a bit unlucky coming into a team who struggle to find consistency going forward whole season. It's nothing to do with him. Even with Tevez, we didn't look as fluid.Guys, What Do I Mean in My Previous Post Was That Rooney+Tevez+Ronaldo Is Better Than Rooney+Berbatov+Ronaldo Axis I Believe It's Equivalent To Henry+Eto+Messi I Just Found That ManUtd Have COmpletely Lost Da Striking Fluidity Ever Since Berbatov Arrivals Even Sir Bobby Charlton Mentioned That Rooney+Tevez+Ronaldo Axis Is Da New Holy Trinity Yes You Might Argue v Your Statistics About Tevez+Berbatov Liverpool Have Better League Statistics Than ManUtd Last Season, As In Goals, Matches Lost Etc Berbatov Is Very Skillful v Elegant Playing Styles. However His Style Doesnt Suit ManUtd, Dont You Think So? If Berbatov Costs Us 30.75m Pound, Just Couldnt Believe ManUtd Dont Wish To Spend 25.5m Pound On Da Proven Argentine Striker, At One Point Even Trying To Get Tevez For Free By Exploring European Laws. Please Do Remember Tevez Is Younger 25, With Excellent Track Records v Clubs & Country. Berbatov? Again Everyone Has Da Right To Share Opinion, Afterall We're ManUtd Fans Thanks. If You Disagree, Please just Share It, We're Here To Discuss P/s: Have Been Supporting ManUtd Since Standard 3 |

I love it when idiots defend their stupidity by saying 'it's an opinion, respect that.' So if some one came up to you and said 'the Earth is flat, it's my opinion,' you telling me you ain't gonna b**** slap his ass?

wah we all been debating about tevez n berba...wch both had some contribution plus some bad spells/form etc etc....but both of them are not the center piece to take any blame nor fall for any mishaps.
what i see is the failure of fergie to revert rooney back to his desired position, his deadly and lethal position.imo thats what we are missing.last season yet again rooney took one for the team, the man is great player but his form suffers from.let him be an out and out striker and he can scare the bravest of defense. big fab got it right and he did wonders wth england, i hope wth ronaldo gone, rooney will not be sacrificed again by pushed to all over the field.he is our most deadly asset as of now, and hopefully berba gets it right next season. wth both of them we can go far, so we dont need the benzema's, nor the eto as of the moment.what we need is another winger, and 1 more att cm to cover for owen whom i do prey gets full recovery and comes back to the team.he was another player sorely missed last season. |

Fulham Pondering Swoop For Newcastle's Jonas Gutierrez - Report
Jonas could be offered a way out of Newcastle, but he is yet to be sold on a move to Craven Cottage... QUOTE Fulham have joined the race to sign Newcastle United's Jonas Gutierrez, but they face stiff competition for the winger. According to the Evening Chronicle, The Cottagers are hoping to bring the Argentine international in on loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season. Gutierrez is seeking a move away from St. James Park following Newcastle's relegation from the Premier League, in order to boost his chances of remaining in Diego Maradona's plans during a World Cup year. However, Fulham face stiff competition for his signature. Their biggest threat comes from Porto, who might be a more attractive proposition for Gutierrez. In 30 games for Newcastle, he failed to score a single goal, and he may not be keen on another Premier League campaign. In addition, there is a strong Argentinean contingent at Porto. Tottenham have also registered their interest in Jonas previously, but they have not shown any indication of a move for him yet. sos this one is a steal. |
