I know its kinda old news, but the new jersey really is UGLYYYYY.
Ive been waiting for quite some time to get another MU jersey and then they come up with this...
Guess ill wait another season tongue.gif

On another note, anyone else getting worried that none of our transfer targets are interested/willing to come to England/MU?

I feel bloody Real Mad are the big winners this time around. Everyone seems to be wanting to go there or willing to play there even though they've been stuck with mediocrity for almost 3 years now...

Manchester United Planning Swoop For Barcelona's Toure - Report

Toure Yaya may have just signed a new deal at Camp Nou, but that has not stopped him being linked with a move away...
hrm....  hmm.gif
*
Wow..25 million pounds for Yaya,a little heavy man.

Im still waiting for someone from the United camp to come out and say/show that they have genuine interest in getting a new striker/winger/CM.

So far,all we're seeing are speculations...

Im a Zlatan fan. And i would love to see him in a United shirt. But guess what, his playing style is somewhat like Berba, and that means, within 1 season, majority of the fans lurking in MUST will want him out.

Good deal for both sides IF it does happen. For Owen, its another chance to prove himself again while for ourselves, we buy ourselved the time for the duo of Welbeck & Macheda to blend into the team while learning their game.
*
I dont know how good it could possibly be,if we take into account the whole characteristics of the possible deal ;

1. FITNESS - goes without saying.
2. His contribution. To me,he's just like a weaker version of Rooney.
3. His salary demands. He will definitely want around $100K a week.

Either that or i just dont like him because of his history tongue.gif

Well, of course his fitness WILL BE the main concern, no doubt about that. But I think they will do a series of fitness tests to make sure he do not has any hidden injury. Plus if its a pay-as-you-play deal, it shouldn't be too bad.

100K/week? I can see a big drop in that figure IF he sign for us. No way he will get that with us.

1) professional football got this professional attitude so if he is well off injury, i think he will be fit.

2) contribution i think minimal. hes more of a predator than a team player. expect him to play little bit of build up before getting to the opponents box.

3) salary is not something he CAN do anything. its a take it or leave it offer. of course man united topped up the offer with incentives of goals, matches played, and trophy wins.

to be honest he is an example of a good player who win less than he suppose to win. teddy sheringhams also a good player and he spent like 3-4 years? at man united. but hes a CL winners!
*
Yeah, the only thing fair and that makes sense at this point of Owens career is to take a pay-as-you-play deal.

But with that being said, it would also be cool to have his as the backup to Berba and Roo coz i don't think Owen will complain about that.

Though I've never been a fan of him, welcome.. I guess. Nv questioned SAF and it will stay that way. Hope he'll do his best in OT and probly, change my opinion of him xD

Exactly the same here. Hope he proves me wrong smile.gif

Welcome Owen....

SAF probably use him sparingly....more like a super sub I guess. He won't repeat what Steve Gon Ericsson and Newcastle Manager's of putting him straightly to the first 11 action. Pre-season is crucial for him. Let's hope he left Asia free injury. But there is a chance he won't follow the tour. Straight to US accompany OH to the knee specialist.

The wholesale from Real Madrid:

Rafael van der Vaart.
Wesley Sneijder
Arjen Robben

fancy any of those...? whistling.gif
*
I still want Robben :S

why not?its good to have 4 strikers in the team..in case first 2 are injured/off form, we could bring in another 2..UNLESS fergie is planning to use more of macheda and welbeck next season..
*
True. But how are you gonna divide playing time?

None of the four ( Rooney,Berba,Owen,Eto'o ) would tolerate being a bench player.
The way i see it, Owen understands his role at the club, which is a good thing because he's job really is to come in off the bench.

Eto'o has ego issues as well as an expressive personality.I doubt he would be happy to be on the bench too.

That means, the only way to keep the strikers happy is to play a 4-3-3 formation or like last season, push rooney to the wings (which i really hope wont happen).

I hope Eto doesn't come. Just too arrogant and I want Rooney as a striker.
*
Arrogant, yes,i agree. His ego is comparable to Ronaldo's.

However,he really is world class and there's no two ways about it.

To me,he was one of the top 3 strikers in the world last season. ( Torres,Messi,Eto'o)

The only bad thing about signing him would be to 'control and manage' his ego ;much like Ronaldo smile.gif

I feel he would do very well at Arsenal though...

in viewing that youtube video, welbeck has great potential to be utd frontman but maybe he needs to mature and build some muscle first.

Building muscle/body can be bad also.

Remember Micah Richards? tongue.gif
