my bad. forgot the layout of 922. noise or not depending on what fan u install only... i have 4 12cm fan on my sidepanel and it's not noisy at all.. infact my gainward 4870 2nd smaller fan is makes more noise lol.
side fan can be handy at times. remember i mention my top left fan on my side panel was an exhaust due to my graphic card cooler design.
as for xiiaoban
i am telling about price/performance. if only care about performance i would already ask u to get 2 piece of 5870 xfire liao la ==
i am saying IF u are GOING TO spend RM700 on a graphic card
take the red team and choose 4890
and IF u have less than that let's say below rm600 then take the green team GTX260+
if like u say NOT THE MONEY, IS ABOUT PERFORMANCE
then best single GPU card now 5870
best dual GPU single card now GTX295
multiple card solution tri CrossfireX 5870
if u are a physx freak then GTX285 Tri Sli or GTX295 Quad Sli + 9600/9800GT dedicated physx.
for 3 cards or more be sure u are on X58 platform else
P55 very good dual card config
X48 is so so
and p45 go single card unless u wanna crosssfire midrange card.
hope i made this CLEAR enough.
cheap and powerful performance solution. get 4850 and crossfire. u will get GTX285 performance for almost half the price.

eh bro.without bottom fan actually ur gc fan itself should be able to help cool down the card d
no ventilation in a casing for the graphic card ESPECIALLY those with reference cooler WILL cause the hot air to continue circulate at that particular area thus gradually build up the heat.
and when ur graphic card heatsink is not taking cool air to drive the heat away and instead take the circulated hot air and continue to flow through the heatsink = over heat.
try GTX285 tri sli in a casing with have no ventilation to the graphic card area and see it overheat and throttle the speed.
heck crossfire 4850 reference cooler design also enuf ady. u can see ur card hit over 90C within seconds. and ilde at 80+
a proper heatsink will ONLY be useful when u have cool air passing through it and transfer the heat away.
try taking a thermalright TRUE 120 extreme and mount ur fan blowing to ur drive bay while ur back exhaust fan remain as exhaust with LOW power or NO top exhaust fan. put it through stress test (prime95, occt, ibt, wadever) and watch ur temperature keep rising
believe me i tried once with my arctic cooling freezer extreme when i accidentally mount the fan backwards in my HAF. even with my top 230mm fan exhaust. my max load stress go from 87C to 99C in matter of a minute. just a minute.
