urgh i find it hard to believe.. thor hammer is such a good cooler... possibly bad mounting on thor hammer?

i dont know bro..2 or 3 times assemble that cooler...still too hot..e8500 @ 4.1ghz 1.39v IDLE 46'C

try Tuniq TX-3

that times i'm using tuniq TX2...then right now also with same Tuniq TX2 with Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme the temp drop to 37'C IDLE

HD4890 will better than gtx275??lolz

i think it depends on wat games u played... some 4890 has higher FPS some 275 win...

Overall???I like to play alot games

go 4890 for now... if u really on budget. the one with custom cooler.
of if u can wait.. then maybe wait for the lower end ati 5000 series. they are coming out.
for now except for GTX295. stay away from all nvidia cards till the GT300 chip is realeased.

isn't 1.39v a little high for a 4.1ghz overclock?
u not using EO revision izzit?
but still abit high for E8500...
E8600 4ghz can reach with stock voltage....

i am strongly argree with 4890 then GTX275 but for GTX260 and 4790 i will be choose GTX260 . its more hard to choose then 4890 and gtx275.

i would think they are pretty much the same, think gtx260 is officially been discontinued though probably making way for their dx11 40nm refresh.

hd5870 at the moment is ok ok, catalyst driver kinda blows, 9.9 crash a lot 9.10 beta gives me a mouse cursor thats like 10x bigger if i exit a game or watch a HD movie.

there no definite answer for the question u have there..
it's all depend on situation..such as ur resolution,hardware u using and so on..
there's no doubt that 4890 is in the same level with GTX275..
but with different setting and hardware..result might be different..
and from what i observe from reviews in the internet..
nvidia will somehow perform better than ati in higher resolution..mostly when using 1920x1080 and higher resolution..but still..ati will be able to outperform nvidia in different way..
