The comments above are the reason why I would love government to enforce PTPTN loan defaulters to CTOS.
It's shameful that people borrowed money to study but choose not to repay it because of some "promises" made by politicians. It's not because you can't afford it, you just don't have the ethics to repay your loans. Imagine you borrowed a 42k loan from a bank, do you think the rates will be lower than PTPTN? Sadden by selfish people who choose not to repay PTPTN till other youths are affected, which will happen in near future since everyone is defaulting on their PTPTN repayment. |

QUOTE(fazlythewarrior @ Nov 13 2013, 04:30 PM) Agree with some those yang pinjam but never pay back. At least I'm those who pay every month even I know sampai bila pun hutang PTPTN tak akan habis dilangsaikan. When I started paying, I also feel the same way.Halfway there, manage to get a windfall and settled the loan. Never felt happier when PTPTN sent me the release documents Now I can borrow again if i want to study moar |

QUOTE(how2mine4fish @ Nov 17 2013, 06:28 AM) hello! quick question yeah. applied ptptn for my diploma couple of years back everything went smoothly. completed diploma last year. started my degree this year i'm now currently in my second sem. just submitted documents and everything couple of weeks back. now when i log into www.ptptn.gov.my the status of both loans shows tamat pembiayaan. i haven't received confirmation upon the application of my second loan. does that mean i got rejected? Did you applied the "Borang Penangguhan Pembayaran Balik" before you apply for the 2nd loan for your degree? |

QUOTE(how2mine4fish @ Nov 18 2013, 05:12 AM) i did. i actually called because i had some issues filling up the online application and i remember she said oh satu loan sudah habis ya. lagi satu tengah apply kan. then i was like yeah blahblah then that was it. no problem with online application it was approved. submitted my documents a month ago. how do you get confirmation regarding the loan? do they email you? i've never even heard of that borang penangguhan till now... oh well guess i'll just call them up tomorrow and clear things up. thanks anyway! Coz you don't read your earlier loan agreement My friends all have the same problem also last time. None of us read the agreement form actually. If you want to continue study after your diploma, usually you will need to fill up the deferment form. The officer told me before, and few other officers echoes the same thing. If you go UTC, they just need to key in to the system and it only takes 2 minutes for everything to be settled. Though you might line up for 2 hours |

QUOTE(al427 @ Dec 31 2013, 10:26 AM) Hi all, I have a question regarding ptptn loan. Should be no problem. Can we still get ptptn loan if we got the tuition waiver from university? Let's say university offers me 30% off for the course fee, can I still apply for ptptn loan? What about if I got a sponsorship from a particular company, am I still eligible to apply for ptptn loan if the sponsorship isn't enough for me pay the course fee? Hope someone can enlighten me about this issue. Thank you Unless the university is offering you a form of scholarship/loan, don't think PTPTN would bother at all. |

QUOTE(elm0001 @ Jan 19 2014, 04:03 PM) hello! Usually the day you graduate, probably after your convocation?wanna ask, 6 months after graduating.. did you mean the day i graduated, or the last date they would provide the loan? cuz if follow my date of graduating (i finished in June or beginning of July i forgot) and the "6 month after graduating" thing, by now i should have received a letter asking me to pay back. so far i've only received back my application docs and a letter asking me to sign a paper and send it back to them (which both i received it around the time i graduated) This people dun give a clear guidelines at times one, but safe to say, 6 months after your convo, do find them for payment schedule before they start being an arse. |

QUOTE(nujikabane @ Jan 19 2014, 04:52 PM) Is there a list of the courses in which PTPTN provide loan? Just check the University you want, and then check the course with PTPTN website.Tried Googling, but my effort comes to nought, sigh.. IF the loan is available, then it will show. QUOTE(AlexGTX @ Jan 19 2014, 09:58 PM) How long did you guys managed to get the loan? I have got preapproval from the ptptn website. Submitted all important documents but until now still no news that they bank in to me. I've waited for roughly around 4-5 months already Try to call them and ask for confirmation?IF you are in your 1st semester and applied, you'll probably get it on semester 2. QUOTE(AwesomeWeng @ Jan 21 2014, 12:14 PM) Anyone still haven't got their PTPTN yet? My new semester has started for 2 weeks already and I havent got the money :/ 1~2 month is quite normal, call the PTPTN office for more info. |

QUOTE(rose6580 @ Feb 7 2014, 08:55 AM) yeah i noticed that too this year - its new. sigh. i tell u - better settle ASAP if not more additional charges later.......if this continue to happen - then we will nv be able to settle cos it just keep adding up Well, you could always call them and ask?No harm asking. QUOTE(AhBoy~~ @ Feb 7 2014, 09:32 PM) I think its possible. Just go and arrange it with PTPTN.1 month x 6 = the amount you will be paying + interest or whatever factored in. QUOTE(monya19 @ Feb 8 2014, 01:01 AM) well if i am able to settle soon i wouldn't bother of that..started to fade up and don't feel like paying anymore as it seems never ending.... Stop paying and you'll get slapped with more interest.Sadly, that's the reality. |

QUOTE(yhlim93 @ Feb 11 2014, 10:32 AM) Guys, i'm terminated by my uni and get accepted to continue my study again, will ptptn terminate my funding as well? Technically, you need to repay the initial loan by PTPTN for the 1st program you get terminated and then only you'll get funding for the next program |

QUOTE(yhlim93 @ Feb 11 2014, 02:34 PM) Bt now i'm still continuing from where i get terminated, and btw it's been quite a few months ago and dint receive anything from ptptn yet means still funded? @@ Well, it's not the same program right? The right thing to do is to terminate the loan, and reapply for new one. But the Malaysian thing to do is just ignore it since you are in the same university. Do note that the amount paid earlier would not be given back again. Meaning if PTPTN gave you $$ for 2 semesters dy, you will only get the money for the remaining sem. |

QUOTE(yhlim93 @ Feb 11 2014, 03:17 PM) I'm still in the same programme with all my credit hours earned remain. Actually i appealed against termination and get accepted, so i'm wondering whether my uni will 'report' about my termination to ptptn Highly doubt it.Universities are not bothered by those details |
